Lucy is a beautiful little Boxer mix girl, about 10 years old and 40 lbs, who loves going for walks and playing outdoors. She’s had a fair amount of training and knows her basic commands, but as with any dog, she could use an owner who will keep up her training. Lucy is cautious upon meeting new people but once she trusts you, her loving side shines through. She has a strong personality that requires an experienced dog owner. Lucy loves to go for rides in the car, walks at the park, swimming, playing with her toys, and spending time with her favorite volunteers. She has spent far too long waiting for her forever family to come along (almost 7 years in the shelter...). Adopters are often turned off by the fact that she will require multiple meets to learn its ok to trust you. Will anybody take the time to love Lucy..? Violet loves a good game of fetch and will spend hours in our kiddie pools if we let her. Violet is excellent in the car and a superb walking companion; she even enjoys a good run with her volunteer friends. She is sweet and cuddly but sometimes prone to over-excitement, so she would do best in a home with older children, if any. He's not too picky and is sure to fit into a moderately active household. Romello is 4-5 years old and 75lbs. Romello was picked up as a skinny stray and brought to the shelter in November, 2023. He had been waiting all that until finally going into a foster home end of July. In an overcrowded shelter with over 500 dogs, he had been overlooked for too long. Be prepared for kisses!! Clover was found on a busy 2 lane road and most likely dumped. No one ever came looking for her. She is sweet as pie and gets along with other dogs, people and especially kids. We do not know what she thinks about cats. Clover is a tad on the submissive side but she can certainly hold her own when playing with dogs bigger than her. She is about 1- 2 years old and 42 pounds.
