Lucy is a beautiful little Boxer mix girl, about 10 years old and 40 lbs, who loves going for walks and playing outdoors. She’s had a fair amount of training and knows her basic commands, but as with any dog, she could use an owner who will keep up her training. Lucy is cautious upon meeting new people but once she trusts you, her loving side shines through. She has a strong personality that requires an experienced dog owner. Lucy loves to go for rides in the car, walks at the park, swimming, playing with her toys, and spending time with her favorite volunteers. She has spent far too long waiting for her forever family to come along (almost 7 years in the shelter...). Buddy showed up at a Foster's property and came in, sat and then curled up on the foster. He's just an adorable loving dog! Someone took good care of him before he was dumped. We posted him everywhere no one showed. He is so wonderful!! He listens so well and has wormed his way into my home with all my babies. Life improved dramatically for Kylo when he made his way to New Jersey, where he was adopted for a time but returned when his adopters couldn’t provide the time and training he needed. At about 5 years old and 45 pounds, Kylo is a playful dog who thrives with plenty of chew toys and the company of another balanced dog that can match his energy as he has enjoyed many play dates and sleepovers with a volunteer’s pup!
