Story
Our dogs are fostered and located in North Carolina until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to your location or to one of the other north eastern locations. We have a cost effective transporter who runs every other week. This sweetie was born 12-1-22. She is a boxer mix. She is a bit shy until she gets to know you. However, she warms up fast. She likes everyone and is good with kids. She does well with other dogs but she does not like cats. She is potty trained and crate trained. She really is the sweetest humble soul ever! This pup is current in all age appropriate vaccines, preventives, heartworm tested and on prevention and microchipped. She will be spayed prior to going to her new home. The adopter will get all the health records with the adoption. We require a prescreen application to adopt. You can get that on the website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Story
Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4.5-year-old beauty. She is a Boxer/Staffordshire Terrier that weighs about 60 pounds. She is a beautiful grey and tan coat that is shiny and she is not too big of a shedding dog. She is loyal and does get along with dogs. Her preference is smaller male dogs or smaller submissive females. She was adopted as a puppy and returned at 4 years old because she didn’t get along with the other female dog in the home. She loves people and loves kids. She is potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She is very affectionate and slept with her family in the bed at night. She was really nice to all the people she met today at the rescue. She loved cuddles and being petted. We could adopt her locally with other dogs and we can test the dogs out. If she goes outside the state of Texas she would make a great only dog. She would be a great companion dog for someone wanting an outdoor companion on your activities and a dog willing to cuddle when you want to chill and read a book. She is the best of both worlds. She is house trained and goes potty outside. They have worked with trainers so she is skilled as far as training goes and was following direction nicely at the Rescue. She could be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. She if fully vetted, healthy and ready for her forever home. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video. https://youtu.be/1q9eoZqaLy4?si=JH181tEQsuNTcDOg

Story
*Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.* Daffodil has been waiting over 4 years for a home. This is the longest that any dog has been with our rescue. She deserves a family of her very own to be loved by. Daffodil is a 7 year old lovely mixed breed pup. She gets along with all dogs and humans that she meets but she does not get along with cats. Her 8 pups she was abandoned with have all been adopted and she is ready for it to be her turn! Her adoption fee has been reduced to $350 due to length of time in foster care (over 6 months).  Listed breed is an educated guess made by our veterinarian and is NOT a guarantee - this also means we have no way of knowing what a puppy's adult size will be. This dog is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Barton's Barkers transport services upon adoption. Their adoption fee is $350 and includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, microchip and transport costs. Second Chances lists dogs as being available in White River Junction, VT because we transport our dogs to the area every 3rd week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters.   ##1062498##

Story
*Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.* Fisher is a big, loveable boy ready for his forever home. He plays well with all humans but prefers female or docile male pups. He doesn't play well with cats so a cat-free home is a must for him.   Fisher lost an eye and had damage done to his nose when someone shot him in his face. He snorts a lot and breathes loudly but he's just happy to be alive. He has never shown any aggression towards humans, even though no one could blame him if he did, but he is cautious of strangers and needs to be introduced slowly to new people. Listed breed is an educated guess made by our veterinarian and is NOT a guarantee - this also means we have no way of knowing what a puppy's adult size will be. This dog is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Barton's Barkers transport services upon adoption. Their adoption fee is $500 and includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, microchip and transport costs. Second Chances lists dogs as being available in White River Junction, VT because we transport our dogs to the area every 3rd week after they have been adopted.
