You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Wondering how I’m still available?  Me too!  I might seem high maintenance being I need a fenced yard and another dog to play with in my forever home but I see it as making it easier for you.  You can just open the door and out we go to potty and play! You’ll find me to be super playful and incredibly sweet.  I enjoy cuddling with both people and dogs.  I’ve not quite gotten brave enough to check out the cat that is here.  So far the closest I’ve gotten is a sniff in the air. I’m what you would call a high-energy dog and it can appear as high energy reactiveness when I meet new dogs, so an experienced dog owner that can do proper introductions would help me remember to be polite and thrive.  I’m potty trained (unless you rely on using a leash, where I’ll hold it until I’m back inside, which is why I’m asking for a fenced yard). Perhaps we can work on using a leash together as I have a tendency to pull.  But I do know some commands, such as “sit, kennel and outside.”  Speaking of which, I know how to use a kennel but I’m not a fan of one.  I also have been known to bark at strangers out the windows and when you come back home.  I don’t count the times I bark when other dogs start it.  I’m just playing along.  Here is a summary of what foster-mom says: “She's absolutely perfect. Still young and playful but loves to be a couch potato and cuddle. She loves to get super close and tuck her head into your neck. She loves other dogs but needs to take it slow with dogs who are over friendly and get in her face. She does warm up eventually though. She's eager to learn and would benefit from training, especially good recall training as she does love to run.” Do you think we would be a good fit? *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi! I’m Colton, the silliest boxer boy there ever was. I live for toys and I trot around like a champion and show it off to my humans when I find a good one. I also love to go on walks with my human. We are working on not pulling on the leash and I am a quick learner but do need a reminder once in awhile. I am potty and crate trained. I would do best in a home with an active owner and a female dog.  Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. Story
Hi there, I'm Precious. They say that I am called this because I am the most precious dog here at God's Dogs Rescue. I came to the rescue in October of 2022 to have a safe place for me to have and raise my puppies. All my puppies were adopted by the end of January 2023, but I am still here looking for my furever home. I am a bigger girl, but this just means there is more of me to cuddle you, because I love cuddling it's one of my top 3 favorite things. 1) Food- I love food and will do almost anything you ask if you have a treat involved. 2) Cuddles- on your lap, on the couch, in the bed wherever there is a comfy space with pillows or a human I want to be there. 3) Kisses- I have a love of giving kisses to people, especially kids. Although not everyone likes it when I try to kiss them and that makes me sad. 4) Honorable mention- I like going on walks or in the car for a ride, although I prefer just lazing around at home. My current fosters say that I am a "house hippo with springs in my feet whatever that means; I just know sometimes, when I get super happy, I feel like I could fly- or jump really high. I love their kids and am very good with them even the tiny ones. I get along with most other dogs I meet, although I have a big personality about me, because I'm a boss, so sometimes other dogs don't like that about me. I tolerate cats although if they give me too much attitude or growl at me, I can't help but to give them piece of my mind. I like most new people I meet although I had a rough start in life so sometimes, I can be a little wary with men, with time though I adjust, and we can become best friends forever. A few more little details about me: I am 3 years old I am a Boxer/Shepherd mix I am great with kids I am good with Cats and Dogs I am crate-trained I am housebroken I can be adopted in Texas or anywhere in the US too! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Heidi - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Heidi, full of youthful exuberance for life, innocence and curiosity. Ready to crawl right into your heart (won't take long either!!) and be a part of a family...YOUR family! I am still a youngster yet, a big puppy at heart! I have lots of energy and am quite agile. I could be a great candidate for obedience classes and maybe even some fun ones like agility classes. I'm a smart cookie (i know cuz my foster mom tell me so!) and catch on quickly. At 11 months and around 45lbs, I shouldn't get much bigger at my adult weight. What a perfect size for...everything! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes(aaaah, all those wonderful tantalizing smells), camping, being a co-pilot for errand runs or trips to the park! You name it, I'm ready to give it a whirl and have a blast too (with whatever it is) just cuz we're doing it together!! And the bestest part is that I'm also small enough that I don't hog the whole couch for my cherished cuddle time!! My foster mom wanted you to know this about me - -she is housebroken -she wants to be a lap dog; -she would fit well with an adult home with older children; -with her high prey drive she should be in a home without small dogs or cats but will do well with her size or larger size breed of dogs; -she is a fast learner and will shine with an owner that will include her in their everyday life adventures; -she is crate trained; -she follows basic commands and walks well on leash; -she thrives on daily walks; -she’s a family dog and will make a fabulous family member; -she loves walks, hikes, exploring, tug of war and games using her nose and sparking her intelligence; -she’s quite agile and shows ability in figuring out how to jump over or crawl under set obstacles. She is happy, fun loving and eager to bring joy to her forever home! As my short sleek coat is low maintenance in the grooming department, making me more of a wash-n-to type of gal. And you do know what that means don't you?!! Oh yep yep, lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. And you know that's what it's all about!! ;) Big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet, my oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunning good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family?

Story
I'm a beautiful girl. I was said to be boxer, but might be some sort of bully mix. I'm one of those sweet ones. My litter of puppies are the white paint shades litter. I lost a lot of weight getting them grown, but I'm on the mend now. So, don't give up on me - I'll be someone's best lover girle ever. It that someone you? If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! ##2095201##

Story
From Foster: Hello, my name is Lady, and I've had that name ever since my humans made me a part of their family when I was little. For years I lived with human kids and my younger dog sister who looks almost exactly like me. Recently my dog sister and I met another human family - actually, a big group of humans acting like family - when my original human family had some trouble and needed my dog sis and me to stay with someone else for a while. We met our new human family and their two dog siblings - we immediately starting having fun together. Things changed, my dog sister went back with our original family. I'm OK though - I have my new family and new dog friends. We stay in the house during the day; the humans think we sleep all day but I assure you we do fun things together! in the afternoons and evenings we play in the yard, go for walks, and snuggle up on the couch. I don't bark or jump on people, and I walk really well on the leash (I just need to stop and sniff things a lot). I can be home all day without having to be let out (remember, the humans think I'm sleeping all day). I love my toys, especially the plushy ones and chewing on nylabones - I often have a toy in my mouth. I would love to be part of your family - adult humans, small humans, other dog friends, maybe even cats. Meet me and let me show you how special I am!

These pups are in St Louis Park, Minnesota too!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  DOB:  06/01/2018 Requires another dog in home: No- best as an only dog   Okay with dogs of all sizes: No Okay with cats: No Okay with children under 12 years old: Yes Weight: 65 pounds Requires a fenced yard:     No Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hi I'm Peggy!  I'm a gorgeous lady on the lookout for the perfect family.  I'm a loving girl with my family and I'm always ready for belly rubs, booty scratches and hugs and kisses.  I love to go on walks, but if I smell something interesting I've been known to pull so I can go investigate.  Sorry not sorry haha!  In my foster home I enjoy curling up in front of the fire on my blankie and chewing on bones.  Bones are the best!  I also enjoy car rides.  My foster mama lets me tag along with her and I quietly chew on bones while she runs into the store for a minute.  I'm potty and kennel trained.  I like kids, but sometimes I get a little too excited and might knock down little ones.  I'm not very good with dogs so I'd prefer to be the only princess in my new home.  This applies to kitties and those squirrels outside too.  It's my yard and they need to know they aren't allowed!  When I came into rescue I had a belly full of babies.  I raised them and then it was my turn to go to the vet to make sure I was forever done being a mama.  I had a couple lumps that were removed at the time and they were found to be cancerous.  The doctor says they got good margins and I can now find my happily ever after and hope that I don’t develop anymore pesky lumps.   Please  note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Story
Welcome Tucker to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Tucker is a 1-year-old Pitbull dog. He was found as a stray on the construction site and a wonderful good Samaritan found him and is fostering him until he finds his forever home. His hair is super soft and his is gushy sweet. He warms up slow to new people and is very bonded and loyal to his human. He has an adorable underbite. He would be willing to wear outfits and hats if it is what his human wanted. He is great on leash and doesn’t pull and he is good in a car. He doesn’t shed and is a very very clean boy. He likes to keep his feet clean and really manages to stay out of any messes other dogs would normally get into. He is good in his crate and he is potty trained. He currently lives with other dogs but he is jealous of attention. His best home would really be where he can be the only dog and get all the snuggles from his family. I think a quieter home over the family that has a loud bustling group of people in it. He would be perfect for the single woman or man who would like a companion animal to walk, jog hike or cuddle with. He doesn’t need lots of exercise for happiness. He is an inside dog and loves to be in the house next to his person. He can stay in his crate while you work. He can also be trusted outside his crate. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See his cute video!!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hello, my name is Winnifred! Not only am I a stunning, confident young adult female Pit Bull but foster mom says that I’m the sweetest wild child ever! It’s true too…I may be deaf but I’m a funny, rambunctious girl who loves to have fun and shower my people with endless love!! At home, my favorite activities include wrestling & romping with my fur sibs, gazing out the window watching (and saying hello to) the passersby, jumping from one piece of furniture to another (hee, hee), and taking short naps in my favorite chair. What about Kongs you ask?? Well, I’m a Kong fanatic of course, and I will spend lots of time making sure it’s completely clean before moving on to my next adventure. Oh yeah, and if you really want to make me smile just bring out the toys…I’m not picky! Hee, hee!! I’m cautious in new environments but I warm up quickly and when I’m away from home, I’m quite the showstopper if I do say so myself! I love greeting new people and they love greeting me just as much! Sure, I’m still working on my ‘adulting’ in this area, but with patience and more training I will be a great 'bring anywhere' companion. Hint, hint!! I am good with kids, but I have a high prey drive so cats are not a good fit for me. Additionally, although I’m good with other dogs, I have a LOT of energy and can play a bit rough so smaller dogs may also not be a good fit. Potty training on a schedule is going nicely; I do fine on the leash; and I’m crate trained. I do, however, get a bit anxious in the crate if my people need to leave so foster mom makes sure I have a Kong then she covers the kennel before she leaves. I’m a smart lady who knows commands like “sit”, “come”, and “kennel/crate” but since I’m unable to hear anything, I need my people to use special training techniques to help me learn. Please don't let my inability to hear scare you…deaf dogs are just like any other dog when it comes to learning new tricks & routines. In fact, I am currently learning hand signals for basic commands and not only am I slowly but surely catching on, but foster mom gives me LOTS of ‘thumbs-ups’ to let me know that I am the best girl EVER! Anyway, I am a brave, curious, absolute sweetheart who is simply looking for YOU…a very patient, unconditionally loving fur-ever family that will NEVER give up on me. As much as I enjoy playing, I love taking my much-needed naps afterward so get ready for your weighted-blanket-snore-machine because this gal’s got it going on and I will love you bigger than life! ALL my love, Winnifred *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
