Hi friends! I'm a total sweetheart and will let you cuddle me for days on end. I'm housetrained and can be free roam in the house. I don't mind other dogs, cats or kids. Story
Updated 2.13.25 Meet Glenn – A Sweet, Energetic, and Loyal Rescue Dog Glenn was found wandering the streets of Ohio with his best friend, Gary, and the two have been inseparable ever since. After their stray hold ended with no one coming to claim them, Glenn received the necessary care from the shelter, including vaccinations and neutering. When it was time to travel, Glenn and Gary made their way to their new foster home in Minnesota, where they’ve been ever since. Personality Glenn is the definition of sweetness, with endless wiggles, kisses, and a heart full of love. He arrived at his foster home with a desire to be held, petted, and adored. Glenn is very affectionate and thrives on human interaction, always seeking attention from everyone he meets, regardless of age or appearance. He’s equally gentle around children and is particularly attentive to adults, often trying to stand on his hind legs for more love. He has a special bond with his foster dad, eagerly waiting for him to come back if he leaves, and sometimes even cradling himself like a baby when resting on him. Energy and Interests This active boy loves his walks and gets excited as soon as he sees the leash come out. He’s still perfecting his leash manners, as there’s so much to explore! Glenn is particularly fond of sniffing around and tends to compete with his best bud, Gary, to sniff the best smells. He does have a bit of a prey drive and gets excited when he spots a squirrel or bunny but can be redirected with some patience. Glenn’s curiosity also extends to watching people, dogs, and children from windows without any negative reactions—just a curious whine or whimper. Training and Behavior Glenn is a quick learner and already knows to sit for his food and happily goes to his kennel at bedtime for a treat. He’s treat-motivated and eager to please, making him a delight to work with. He’s had no accidents in the house, can hold it through the night, and is crate-trained. Glenn enjoys puzzle toys like a Snuffle Mat and a peanut butter Kong, though he hasn’t shown much interest in typical dog toys yet. He’s very well-mannered and behaves wonderfully in public places like the local store, showing no fear of crowds or automatic doors. Special Bond with Gary It’s impossible to talk about Glenn without mentioning his devotion to Gary. Glenn is deeply bonded with his best friend, who is deaf. He looks out for Gary, acting as his ears, and the two share an incredibly strong, emotional connection. Whether curled up together or resting their heads on each other, they are always close by. Glenn gets anxious when they’re separated, but his loyalty to Gary never wavers. They are truly a pair that needs to stay together. Health & Care When Glenn first arrived, he was underweight and needed to gain some pounds. He’s done great with his nutrition and now looks healthier, though he’s still got some energy to burn! Glenn also seemed to get cold on walks as the temperature dropped, so he’s more than happy to wear a sweater or coat—red is his favorite color! Final Thoughts Glenn is an absolute joy to have around. He’s loving, social, and eager to please, with a heart as big as his personality. This sweet boy is looking for a family who will embrace his affectionate nature and, most importantly, accept his best friend, Gary, as part of the family too. Glenn is a remarkable dog who will bring joy and love into any home that’s lucky enough to have him—and his buddy Gary—by their side.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 24, 2025, 10:41 am

Story
My brother, Glenn, and I are unclaimed strays looking for a new home. I'm pretty happy and love cuddles. I don't mind other dogs, but I prefer they're not crazy in my face. Glenn acts as my ears, so I look to him for guidance. I keep my kennel very tidy. I'm getting better each day on the leash. I tested positive for Heartworm and have begun treatment. I'll be as good as new in no time!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 4, 2025, 3:28 pm

Story
Update 2.13.25 Rocky is a 4.5-year-old neutered male boxer who was surrendered to us on February 1st after spending his entire life with his previous owners. Rocky was raised as a puppy alongside an older boxer and two small children, but unfortunately, he hasn’t had much exposure to other dogs in recent years. He’s protective of his home and family, so he’ll need some time and training to adjust to new people and dogs. Rocky is a curious and energetic boxer who loves to play, especially when it involves exploring the world around him! He’s great on a leash, crate-trained, and listens well to commands. He’s an affectionate and loyal dog with a big heart, but he can be cautious with strangers and is known to be wary of delivery people. If you're an adopter, you'll need to work with Rocky to help him adjust to new faces and experiences—he just needs a little extra time and patience to feel secure. As for other animals, Rocky seems to have a strong prey drive, with birds, rabbits, squirrels, and possibly even cats triggering his attention. His ideal home will likely not include small animals or cats, as he’s not comfortable with them. Rocky is currently being fostered by a couple who work from home, so he hasn’t been left alone for extended periods yet. His previous owners shared that Rocky is a skilled escape artist when left in his crate, so this will need to be addressed in his new home. We also haven’t had the chance to fully evaluate how he interacts with other dogs. If you’re looking for a protective, playful companion and are willing to put in the time to help Rocky adjust to new people, he may just be the perfect fit for your home. He has so much potential and love to give, and we know he’ll thrive in a patient, understanding family.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 13, 2025, 6:19 pm

Story
Update 3.9.25 Leia is a former puppy mill/breeder dog that has been living the good life for the last couple of years. She knows how to sit, but could benefit from a little more basic training. I believe she is about 7 years old, but doesn't necessarily seem like a senior to me.   Leia has a history of frequently licking and chewing at her paws and she also had a yeast infection in her ears that was treated. The vet thought she would benefit from allergy medicine (Apoquel) and the difference is night and day since she has been on it. Compared to before, she rarely tries to lick at her feet now and her ears no longer look red and irritated. She definitely seems a lot more comfortable, so allergy medicine is something that Leia will likely need every day for the rest of her life. Now that she has been on medication for a little while, she only needs to take it once a day. I want you to be well aware that Apoquel is rather expensive, so this is a regular expense you will want to consider along with the other expenses of routine dog care.   She is crate trained and is really good about going in her kennel. We give her a few treats when she goes in her kennel when we leave for the day. Leia seems to consider her crate to be a safe space. She is potty trained and has only had a couple of accidents at our house when we didn't understand she was trying to tell us she needed to go out.   Leia is relatively quiet and doesn’t vocalize much. Occasionally she will whine if she wants something, like when she is excited for meal time. Just recently I have heard her bark a couple of times while looking out our windows and occasionally she will start "talking" when she is adamant that it is dinner time. When she gets excited and breathes through her nose sometimes it sounds kind of wheezy/whistley. Leia is very sweet and just wants to be loved. She likes to cuddle on the couch and loves to get lots of pets and attention from people.    Leia lived with a dog in her previous home but had been living as an only dog for the last several months. She is good with our cats and generally just ignores them. Leia is really good with our 27 lb. resident dog (a Boston Terrier) who is quite a bit smaller than her. Sometimes she tries to play with our resident dog, but he doesn't really know how to play. Leia's former owner said she didn't really play with toys and so far she hasn't played with them much at our house either. The one exception is that Leia does really seem to enjoy chewing on the fishbone shaped Benebone we have.    With our schedules, we haven’t really taken Leia on walks, but I think she would enjoy the mental stimulation and exercise that walks can provide. She enjoys exploring our fenced yard, so any little adventures out and about seem like they would be fun for her. She rides wonderfully in the car too and seems to enjoy it. She can be a little timid or unsure in new situations or encountering new people, but it doesn't take her long to warm up. Some loud noises startle her and if I drop something sometimes she will jump. She doesn't like the vacuum either, but I can't say that I blame her.    Leia is an extra special dog and such a good girl. She has been through a lot in her life and she deserves a happy ending. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2025, 7:51 am
