Hi, my name is Raven and I am from Arkansas! I am the sweetest girl ever. I am calm, gentle, and so so sweet. I LOVE to nap and cuddle up with my humans and go for strolls (I LOVE squirrels). I am very curious about other humans and puppers and love to say hi. I am a bit nervous about new things at first, but I just need some encouragement. My current humans leave me out when they are gone, and I LOVE to nap on the couch and play a little, and I don't make a mess. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. 🐾 Meet Poochie! 🐾 Poochie is a sweet and loving 2-year-old female Boxer mix with a medium-sized build and a heart full of affection. She is one of those dogs who truly loves her people. Poochie adores kids and thrives on human connection, making her a wonderful family companion. She does best with slow, thoughtful introductions to other pets, but once she feels comfortable, she does beautifully. In her current foster home, Poochie lives peacefully with other animals and has even shown she can coexist calmly with guinea pigs. She just needs a little time to settle in and feel safe. Poochie is spayed and up to date on all vaccines and preventions, so she is ready to start her next chapter right away.
