Hooch is a one-of-a-kind pup with a heart of gold. Don't be fooled by his initial "excited pitty wiggles" - this gentle giant instantly calms down and showers you with affection. Kids? Those are his JAM! He LOVES kids! He checks in on them and watches over them in the correct way. He absolutely loves other dogs. Hooch craves the ability to show his humans love and affection He loves his toys, car rides, and even joins in on your stretching routines (with a hilarious head tilt first). Hooch is already potty-trained, knows basic commands, and practices good manners (waiting for his food and walks). He's eager to please and mastering leash walking and recall.

Story
Gianna is a sweet and affectionate girl who loves having all your attention. She enjoys snuggling up for a movie, taking naps, and receiving belly rubs. She gets along great with kids and everyone she encounters. Gianna is well-trained in her potty habits and crate behavior, and she responds well to basic commands. When it comes to meeting other dogs, she requires a little patience, as she is selective about her furry friends. Gianna strikes the perfect balance between being laid-back and adventurous, relishing car rides and being your loyal companion on all your outings. The adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers her spay, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care she may have needed while in the rescue's care. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.northernlakesrescue.org

Meet WALKER, our own 'Shelter Ranger ' who's not looking for bad guys...... he's looking for his forever home! This 1-1/2 year old male Boxer mix is a true charmer. His unique markings are a sight to behold - tall, alert ears giving him an almost regal appearance and a stunning coat of red, mahogany and white complementing dark patches highlighting expressive eyes. Walker may have started out as a stray but the kind soul who found him spoke of his friendly nature, reporting that he got along great with their dogs. His gal pal, Lucy, at the shelter agrees! This active boy revels in the joys of long walks and playtime in the yard. After spending nearly 2 months cooped up in a kennel, it's no wonder Walker is ready to find his forever family and shower them with love and affection. He's a loyal companion in the making... awaiting the chance to bond with his person through fun adventures, quality cuddle time and all the baby talk his heart desires. If you're searching for a furry friend to share your life with and explore the world by your side.... look no further than Walker - our little ranger is more than ready to embark on the journey of a lifetime with you.

Story
Hi there I'm Alton and I'd love to be your new best buddy. I enjoy playing with other dogs and being around human family as well. I am a good boy and do fine in a crate and my foster parent says I am house trained as well. I know how to sit and I listen when you call me. I will listen to go in my crate when you tell me to but I really enjoy the outdoors. My favorite spot is laying on the porch or stretching out in the sun in the soft grass. I do need to work on my leash walking skills. I get excited and pull a little bit but I promise if you take me on walks to work on that. I would love to meet you and have a family to call my own Alton's adoption fee is $400. plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue's care.
