They call me Exuberant, Handsome and Sweet but you can choose a new name for me when we adopt each other. I don’t care what you call me, as long as you call me. I’m a happy dog who loves people more than anything else in the world. I’m a 4+ year old mix, with a 22” collar and am very big and strong. The Vet said I weigh 73 pounds. Don’t let that scare you because I am just a mushy ball of love. I like to let everyone know how happy I am to see them by twirling around and wagging my tail as fast as it will go. This is usually when they call me Exuberant. I like to have fun. I’m such a good boy and I have good potty manners. I prefer being inside with people at night especially. Since I have a lot of energy and need exercise, your large fenced yard will be well-used. My foster peeps say I need a family, not a job. They know that I’m a quick learner and will be someone’s best dog ever. Because I’m big and young at heart, my new humans should have some experience with dogs and be able to work with someone of my stature. I promise I will try to do everything you ask enthusiastically. I don’t like loud booming noises (fireworks or dynamite) or gunfire but neither do most of my friends. Health wise, I am terrific; up to date on shots and tested negative for heartworms. Hello My name is venus I am just about to turn two years old. We know my mom was a full-blooded boxer and daddy was the traveling man. I was living with several brothers and sisters in a small kennel. The kind people at the rescue came and picked me up and I happy in my current foster home . I am good in the house and crate trained. If you want to play a little or just be couch potatoes , I am good with either. I ride in the car and am very good on a leash. I do best when playing with medium to large dogs, as all my current foster pals are medium or bigger. I have been waiting for some time now for my forever home. I may not be a cute puppy , but I am a solid friend that is through the puppy stages for sure! I am spayed, micro chipped up to date on all vaccinations. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Louise, one of our newest residents at the Mikey & Me Kennels for Happy Days Rescue. Louise is an 8 year old Boxer Mix, she’s a genuinely sweet and loving dog, and she’s endured more pain and sorrow in her life than any dog should ever have to. Louise was found in a home in Ohio when Child Protective Services was called to do a welfare check on children in the home. But, as most neglected and abused dogs usually are, Louise has shown us that she is resilient, happy, loving, and excited to see what her future has in store. I took Louise to the Vet on Monday and she has come a long way since being rescued. She’s put on 8 pounds, she tested negative for Heart Worm disease, and her blood work showed that her prior anemia has been resolved. We are feeding Louise smaller amounts of food four times daily and her energy is good. After previously being locked in a bedroom with no food, Louise has been eager to go outside, take walks, engage in the play area, and to discover new things. Please help me find this deserving girl a forever home. There are people out there that are looking for older dogs and she will make a wonderful companion. She weighs just 36 pounds and she very much enjoys one on one cuddle time on the couch. Noira is a sweet dog. She gets along well with every dog she has met. Plays great with our golden retriever. Not sure about cats but I would guess she would be curious but fine. Little kids with fast movements scare her but she just retreats from the situation. She is the most lovable girl and will just sit with you for hours. I work full time and despite my best efforts to walk and exercise her being left alone is stressful. She has separation anxiety and will chew anything when she is left unsupervised. She would thrive in a house that has her person home more often than not. She is crate trained, potty trained, walks well on a leash.

Citrus was living alone in an abandoned house with no doors or windows. We trapped her, and she got very upset. Citrus was growling for many many days, and did not allow any handling. She finally came around to trust us, and is now a loving sweetheart. Citrus wants an understanding foster-to-adopt home, who wants to baby her. She is estimated to be 2-4 years old, and a mix between English Bulldog and Boxer. Citrus has a classic cautious and disapproving yet personable English Bulldog personality, and the silly play style of a Boxer. We are looking for a household without children for Citrus. Gus is the bestest Boxer mix we’ve ever seen 💙 He loves other dogs & all humans. Homes with tiny humans may not be the best fit as Gus has a lot of playful energy. He’s such a happy, goofy, bouncy sweetheart of a dog. He needs an active family & a fenced in yard would make their life so much easier. He’s happy to sit and look at you with those big, sad, brown eyes and get all the pets you can give, but he’ll probably jump for pure joy as soon as you stop. We adopted Hermes from Ann Arbor humane society. He was born December 8 2023. He is about 8 months old. He a SUPER sweet guy. Lots of kisses and hugs. Knows his current name and can come when called. He has been through 2 dog training classes at pet smart. He graduated puppy training but failed intermediate due to us not working with him enough, not his fault! Husband lost his job and we had a baby. Between all the stress, we just adopted a dog before a storm hit our family and it's not fair to this sweet boy not to get the love, attention, and exercise he deserves and needs. He jumps on people a lot and tackles my 2 year old for kisses which she doesn't like and it's been hard to rid him of this habit. So he does get along with children but is just a little big and energetic so I would be cautious if you have super little ones like me.
