Story
Hi my name is Sunny Bear! I am a good girl and I am looking for my best friend. I can have some big feelings about scary or surprising things being around me and tend to express myself sometimes with barking and pulling. I understand that may be a bit too much for some families, but I hope it won't make me too much for you! My big feelings can mean that I am selective about doggie friends, so if you have a dog, I would love to meet them before going home with you. That can be arranged after you meet me at the shelter, so don't delay! Rush on over to meet me today!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Do you have tennis balls, like a lot of them, if not will you buy some? If your answer is yes than you might be the home for me! See I am simple girl but I do require lots of tennis balls!! I like other toys but nothing gets me as excited as having tennis balls! My foster says I am just a happy gal, that is good with all people even kiddos! I am house broken, but I may have had a couple accidents but I am still recovering from taking care of my 5 babies for the last several weeks. They all have found their forever homes and now it’s my turn. I was a great mom but my foster promised I never ever have to do it again, which sounds perfect to me! I really love my foster home. See, I also get alone time and have my own room, I have adults and kids who play fetch with me a few times a day. They all helped me get better on the leash, to come when I was called, I am actually even starting to learn how to settle down and watch TV. I would probably like to stay here but they have some big dogs here, I just don’t like when they get in my way. My foster thinks I will much prefer to be the only dog in a home.  I think that is true at least to start. The cats here don’t bother me. Did I mention my NEED for tennis balls, oh I did, okay. Well that’s all for now. Let lastdaydogrescue.org know if you want to meet me by filling out an application. &#226&#128&#139Click here to watch a video of Pu Litter Eevee (Mom).Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. October 3, 2024, 3:37 pm

Story
Angus is almost 1.5 years old. Neutered and fully up to date on shots and vaccines. He is a sweet boy that loves to sleep in bed and snuggle on the couch. He is potty trained and has been good around other dogs. He is from the shelter and does scare easily with loud noises. He has a small male fear factor. Has NEVER bit anyone or other dogs, just barks to show he’s uncomfy. He loves to run in the yard (fenced in yard would be best) and knows a few command words. Good with kids and other dogs. Needs some work on pulling when going on walks. He is a great boy, just needs someone with the time and skill to really implicate good training.

Story
Kawhi is a boxer mix. While he is an older dog, he still has a lot of energy and love to give. He is well-trained but hasn’t been adapted well to having a small child in the house. While Kawhi has experienced behavioral issues in the past, adequate exercise and attention mitigates that. He is still weary of visitors and requires additional training with that. Kawhi loves playing, running outside, and laying under your feet. He has been a great companion thus far and I’m hoping to find a home for him that will provide the attention and fun he needs.

Hi spark is a loving affected dog, he love to be with his owner ( will follow you everywhere)😍. He loves children but can be a wiggle butt but knows how to apologize ( the cuteness things). He at time like to be left alone and will go sit in his cage until he is ready to be bothered. Around 9 pm is his bed time, anytime after 9 I let him be cause he like his rest. He love his alone time with his human parents outside of his human siblings. He love to say hi to everyone.

Story
Make sure you let us know you saw Bruno on Adopt-a-pet.*In a foster home, call for meet/greet* Talk about a lug head, this big guy was found as a stray by a vet tech who tried to find his owner. With no luck he ended up at the shelter. Bruno quickly showed us what a ham he is, he's quite the crooner too! Bruno does bark to get your attention and when he's excited. This smart pup knows sit, shake, down, he comes when called, enjoys walks (he's strong), loves to romp around the yard, loves to "fish" out of the pool, and has done well with the canine friends he's met, he will not share toys and shows some possessiveness of them. Bruno is a big boy, with a big heart, he loves everyone. We say no small children due to his size and tendency to chew up toys. If you've been looking for a a big pup that doesn't require a lot of work make sure to visit with Bruno Mars!
