Story
Available to Adopt - Gully Current location - Fort Wayne, IN Sometimes, you just have to take a chance on love. Who among us hasn’t at some time? Back in March, we took a chance on this beautiful boy. Is he a boxer mix? Yes. But, that didn’t matter. If we didn’t take a chance, Gully was likely to be euthanized at the shelter he was being housed at, after being found as a stray. He was in pretty bad shape, was very skinny with many compression sores and an infection. Even with all the unknowns, this good boy melted our hearts and we took that chance on him. We knew his medical needs could be taken care of and we had hoped to find him that perfect home and improve on the poor life he’d known previously. Fast forward, over 250 days later…. No, that is not a typo. This boy has been with us that long, hoping someone will take a chance on him again. Is he happy, healthy and well cared for? Oh yes, by one of our amazing fosters. But, he wasn’t meant to stay in foster care forever. He’s meant to be in his own permanent, loving home. To be honest, we are having a tough time finding that. Is it because he doesn’t look “boxery” enough? Is it because he would do best as an only pet? We really don’t know for sure, but we are asking for your help in finding his family. Could it be you? Could it be someone you know who is just looking for a great dog? Please share his information with them. Gully is estimated to be 2-4 years old, so well beyond puppy antics. He is very trainable and loves to play and follow you around. In his foster home, he is living with other dogs under supervision, so it is possible he can be around others occasionally. In his permanent home, we do feel he’d do best on his own. In this season of giving, are you able to give this boy the home he deserves? Are you willing to take that chance on 4-legged love? Please consider Gully. He so deserves a chance. ##2005207##

Story
* Location: Near Cleveland, OH Hello! My name is Valentino. They say I’m named that because I was born on Valentine's Day. Pretty cool, huh?  I'm 4 years old and originally came from a home where I was not treated very well. Since I came into the rescue, I’ve been pretty spoiled, and I won't lie, I like it... a lot! I am neutered and current on all my vaccines.   Now to tell you a little bit about me. I'll start with the good stuff first  I'm super loving and affectionate. I like to cuddle, but I will also go off and lay on my bed. I love my toys and enjoy playing fetch, but I also enjoy playing with my toys by myself. I toss them in the air or roll around on the ground squeaking them. My foster mom says I act more like a puppy than a 4-year-old and that I'm pretty darn adorable!  I've never had an accident in the house and can be left alone loose and not be crated. I've never gotten into anything, I'm a good boy. But, I will admit when my foster mom leaves, I prefer to be able to look out the window to watch and wait for my her to come home. I do prefer to be with someone who's home more than gone. If you work from home, I would love to share your office with you, that's what I do with my foster mom now. I enjoy sharing your space. I know how to sit, stay, come, lay down, and wait. What I’m not so good at yet is not getting excited and overstimulated. When people come in the house, they say I still need to work at not being so enthusiastic.  Once you get settled in and pay attention to me, I will calm down.  I won't lie, I just love lots of attention. I'm best in a home without other dogs. They say I'm reactive when on walks and I need some training with this. We're working on it, and I’m hoping to improve. I'm really trying, but I never had any kind of training before so it's not always easy for me. Walking on a leash is totally new to me, so that is a work in progress still.  I will need a fence to keep me safe. I could probably jump over a 5 ft fence if I wanted to, so I guess I might need a 6 ft fence. I just can't help myself. I get really excited sometimes when I see people and dogs.  Do you think you would have the patience to work with meand help me be my best self? Please complete one of those application things if you do because, after all, I am pretty cute and you will fall in love with me immediately. I’m not bragging or anything, but that's what my foster mom tells me all the time.  I can't wait to find my forever home!!! ##2122141##

Story
Current location – Cleveland Travis is a wonderfully loyal boy and will follow you around wherever you go. He is a complete love bug who requires regular pets and love and will be your best friend. He would benefit from a home with a bit of land that provides some separation between his home and his neighbors. At the very least, we prefer a tall privacy fence. Travis loves to bounce! Travis also loves the car, but if you need to leave him behind, be prepared for a happy greeting when you return. He's good to free roam and hasn't shown any separation anxiety. Travis does seek an adult only home. Kids appear to make him a bit uneasy. Adults and seniors seem to be more his speed. He will be quite happy to lounge on the couch and chill with you – after a good walk or play session, of course. He will make someone a very loyal and loving companion. We do not have any history of Travis with cats. He has lived with another dog in the past, but a meet with any potential housemates would be required as he seems selective. A submissive dog of similar size might be ok. Travis is 7 years old, but don't let that number fool you. He can still be plenty playful, and loves toys and a good game of fetch. He is a typical boxer clown ##729425##
