Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Do you have tennis balls, like a lot of them, if not will you buy some? If your answer is yes than you might be the home for me! See I am simple girl but I do require lots of tennis balls!! I like other toys but nothing gets me as excited as having tennis balls! My foster says I am just a happy gal, that is good with all people even kiddos! I am house broken, but I may have had a couple accidents but I am still recovering from taking care of my 5 babies for the last several weeks. They all have found their forever homes and now it’s my turn. I was a great mom but my foster promised I never ever have to do it again, which sounds perfect to me! I really love my foster home. See, I also get alone time and have my own room, I have adults and kids who play fetch with me a few times a day. They all helped me get better on the leash, to come when I was called, I am actually even starting to learn how to settle down and watch TV. I would probably like to stay here but they have some big dogs here, I just don’t like when they get in my way. My foster thinks I will much prefer to be the only dog in a home.  I think that is true at least to start. The cats here don’t bother me. Did I mention my NEED for tennis balls, oh I did, okay. Well that’s all for now. Let lastdaydogrescue.org know if you want to meet me by filling out an application. &#226&#128&#139 &#226&#128&#139 Click here to watch a video of Pu Litter Eevee (Mom).Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. March 7, 2026, 8:41 am

Story
Hi my name is Stan! I am a senior gentleman looking for my perfect home. I am very lucky to be out of the shelter and with my great foster family, who take care of me while I wait for adoption. I can be a little shy with new people, but when I get comfortable, I show everyone what a happy, sweet dog I am! My ideal home would be a household without children under five, and I would prefer to meet other doggie siblings before making things official to make sure we put our best paws forward. Could I be the guy for you? Please reach out to the adoptions team to learn more about how to meet me!Stan is currently living in one of our wonderful foster homes. Adopting from foster is easy! Please email adoptions@hshv.org or call (734)662-5585 to arrange a meeting today!

Story
Betsy is a FUN dog who loves to be with other dogs, maternal and bouncy. She is not aggressive or bossy but does have a bark and her terrier DNA comes out when meeting new smaller dogs. She has spent most of her time with bigger dogs and enjoys being the 'shortie' of the playgroup. Betsy is not food motivated, nibbles through the day, but has managed to become a bit fluffy. 50 lb dog now, she loves car rides, water! and sunbathing. Betsy is spayed, up to date on vaccines and very health - a bit fluffy as she has matured, now 4 years old. Her breed had been a guess until now! a donated DNA test revealed the classic Houston mutt mix of American Pit Bull Terrier, Lab, Boxer, German Shepherd, Shar Pei, Chow Chow. She is a short dog with medium double coat and a sharp mind. YouTube Video (meet Betsy): https://youtu.be/pGvcZikCFFc FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Email to Apply! Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org --------------------------------------------------- Visit our Social Media to see more of our dogs! https://www.facebook.com/CaffeinatedCanineRescueTX History: Betsy came to another rescue with nursing puppies in June of 2023. She has been fostered with kids, other dogs and in a house/apartment. She is crate trained and loves routine - literally bounces up and down, runs outside then back into her crate to nap. She would benefit from a yard due to her energy.

Story
Well, just look at miss pouty pout and her snaggle tooth! Lilly is estimated to be about 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds. Meet Lilly, a ray of sunshine in the form of a furry friend, she is just an affectionate sweetie who's hoping to find her forever family! Lilly has such a soft personality and is always seeking love and attention from her favorite people. She already knows the "sit" and "down" commands and as you can see from her pictures, offers the most adorable pout when she wants something - it's simply irresistible! As she can be a little hand-shy and submissive, Lilly is looking for an adopter who can provide a structured environment to help build her confidence. Lilly really looks to you for reassurance, direction and guidance. She will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old with her low confidence. Could you be the one to give this sweet girl the love she needs? Lilly would love it if you came to meet her. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Lilly would love to meet them. She has a loose and wiggly approach with other dogs with a paw greeting, but she mostly wants attention from the people in the room. If you are interested in Lilly and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
