Story
Highball is a spunky senior boxer who came to the shelter when his owner no longer had time for him due to some health challenges. He`s a little worried but is settling in quickly. His owners said he`s good with kids and cats but hasn`t had much dog experience. He has done fine with the dogs he`s met but would probably do best with an easy going friend. He did some sniffing but spent most of his time just wandering. He loves people and will do the typical boxer kidney bean dance and push in close. If you are looking for an older but still energetic friend, Highball would love to meet you!

Story
We took Boog in because his owner was going to abandon him in a trailer and he had nowhere else to go. We think he is about 5 or 6 years old. He has stayed with us for 3yrs. He seems to have had training as he can sit, stay, lay down all on command. He is a hugger and a cuddlebug. I work too much and my wife has newly discovered health issues. Boog deserves better, someone to give him the proper time and maybe a vet visit once in a while be cause beyond basic needs we cannot afford more. He is a good boy. He will be someones best buddy.

Story
Make sure you let us know you saw Bren on Adopt-a-pet. At 13.5 years old, Bren has found herself as one of the many unclaimed strays here at the shelter. Given her age, this is especially heartbreaking as she deserves the softest blankets, the most delicious food, and an owner that adores her. A Boxer mix, she still has a little pep in her step, and a whole lot of love to give. We want all the best for Bren so we want for her to be the only pet and we're hoping for a fenced yard too. P.S. Bren did have a lipoma mass removed on the R side of her rib area on 10/11. She will need to have a re-check 14 days from that date. *Bren is not accepting of other dogs or cats. We're not sure what she's experienced in her past life that has turned her off from them, but at this stage, she deserves to relax and enjoy the rest of her life the way she prefers.

I have had her since she was born except for 2 years. She is very sweet to girls in general. She doesn’t like other dogs but she is very obedient. Cats she doesn’t pay no attention to. She is house trained and will go to the door when she needs to go out.
