Apparently, I’m a gorgeous chocolatey muffin if you listen to the nice volunteers here at the rescue! I'm looking for a forever home where I can feel safe, loved, and cared for. I am a bit submissive and unsure of new things and people, but I'm a pleaser and I want to trust you. I perk up and get all playful with toys when I feel safe, and I release them nicely when it’s time. I just need a leader to rely on, and an adopter who has the time and patience to help build my confidence. Are you the one I have been waiting for? Make sure you let us know you saw Bren on Adopt-a-pet. At 13.5 years old, Bren has found herself as one of the many unclaimed strays here at the shelter. Given her age, this is especially heartbreaking as she deserves the softest blankets, the most delicious food, and an owner that adores her. A Boxer mix, she still has a little pep in her step, and a whole lot of love to give. We want all the best for Bren so we want for her to be the only pet and we're hoping for a fenced yard too. P.S. Bren did have a lipoma mass removed on the R side of her rib area on 10/11. She will need to have a re-check 14 days from that date. *Bren is not accepting of other dogs or cats. We're not sure what she's experienced in her past life that has turned her off from them, but at this stage, she deserves to relax and enjoy the rest of her life the way she prefers.
