Story
MEET RUBY!Ruby is a total gem and true to her name! She is a sweet, people-loving and goofy girl who is hoping to find a new home. She`d love to find someone to play with and run around before snuggling on a couch while snoring. She can be a bit selective when it comes to what dogs can join her inner circle, but could potentially go home to another dog pending a dog meet at the shelter. Could she be the one for you?Ruby is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Ruby or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Story
Cash is and 8 year old, 57lb boxer/pit mix. He came from the south up to MA at 2 years old. He is extremely loyal and sweet to his family and people who are close, as well as great with children of all ages. (He currently lives with children ages 2 and 12). He is playful, loves walks, but is also a couch potato and loves to sleep and cuddle. Cash LOVES a good human to lay on and if you’re in bed he’ll get right under the covers with you. He can be nervous and vocal towards strangers if approached without confidence, but he is confident if you are confident. He does not like other dogs and I would suggest he be the only pet in the household. Cash, like most pits, suffers from environmental allergies, so he receives allergy shots quarterly each year for his comfort. He is on a standard dry food diet and comes with no health problems. He is house trained, crate trained and extremely food motivated (but not aggressive). This boy deserves a great home and loving family.

Meet Miller – The Resilient, Happy-Go-Lucky Pup SOO Ready for His Best Chapter Miller’s story started with heartbreak - but he’s proof that good luck. resilience and love can turn everything around. Story
MY ADOPTION FEE WILL BE WAIVED FEBRUARY 17 - 23 AS PART OF THE MISSED CONNECTIONS ADOPTION EVENT !!! We are looking for a really special family for this dog, as his life up to this point has been anything but normal. He`s going to need experienced, dedicated people to help him catch up on all the experiences that he has missed. Below you can find some guidelines for what type of adopters we`re looking for so you can decide whether to come in to adopt! First, Frank doesn`t have much experience walking on leash, nor has he seen most of the world. Adopters will need to be able to provide a secure outdoor space at a home that won`t rely on leash walks for exercise and potty breaks. Keeping his world small to start will help Frank adjust to his new environment and get comfortable. Very young kids are likely to be too overwhelming for this guy, but we know every child is an individual. It`s possible he can live with kids who are able to give a dog the space they need to adjust, but Frank has shown fear around children in the past. Toddlers or kids who have a hard time giving space will likely be too much for him. Lastly and most importantly, we are looking for someone who is patient and dedicated. Frank has a long road ahead of him with house training, leash walking, and life in general, but he has so much love to give. We are looking for folks who are ready to step up and put in a lot of work to get him where he needs to be. Please come with all your patience and understanding. Our small staff is doing our best to move quickly while also making the animals` wellbeing a priority! Dogs will not be available for general viewing, as our kennels are closed to walk through traffic to reduce their stress. We will have more dogs available in the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned here for updates on those!

Story
Meet Buddy! Buddy is about 4.5 years old, 42 lbs, and he likely has some Boxer or terrier in his mix! Buddy was confiscated with an awful skin condition, and has been nursed back to health. He still has some hair loss on his back that may or may not grow back. In his foster home, he is working hard on his house-training, crate training and leash walking. He could go to a home with kids 10+, cats, and other calm dogs. His foster says, `If you are wanting to be loved and adored, here is your chance. Buddy is the most loving, loyal and devoted dog a human could ever have. He Absolutely lives to love. He is calm and quiet but still has a bit of spunk to keep it fun. He is smart and already knows how to sit, shake, twirl and sit pretty and would love to learn more tricks to please his human especially if it involves treats as payment, Other than spending time with his human hanging on the couch, his second favorite thing to do is curl up on the passenger seat and take a long drive. He will occasionally pop his head up to look at some scenery then it`s back to donut position. 3rd on his list of favorite activities is chewing. He loves a Kong bone filled with something tasty. Adding in a fun leisurely walk or 2 throughout the day is a huge bonus. He will happily take his time smelling the smells and meeting new people along the way He is so ready to get and give the love and affection he craves and deserves.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on March 14th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
