Mr. Foster is a sweet, playful 2 year-old who loves to snuggle under the covers and wants nothing more than to fall asleep with his big, pretty head on your lap. He's very trainable and eagerly sits for treats, including crunchy vegetables, but needs an experienced owner to help him learn better manners. He goes between exuberant "Boxer energy" and "bulldog chillin'." He adores other dogs and all humans, and wishes my cats liked him. He used to have seizures that are well-controlled with affordable medication that he takes like a champ twice a day. I'm working on getting him neutered and up to date on shots. His owner loved him a lot but she struggled with addiction and, sadly, she died a few months ago. I live alone and have a full-time job and pets of my own, and I can't provide the attention and exercise he deserves. I'm so close to "foster failure" with this great dog. I'd love to keep him if I could, but I know his forever-family is going to feel very lucky to have him.

I am learning to not jump when I want pets but I love my humans so much it's hard. I sit and do know paw but I only give it when I want to. I am learning potty and for the most part go outside but do use potty pads. I find my crate to be my safe place and don't mind going into it while my people work who wouldn't mind extra treats lol. I sleep with my people at night and I am a great cuddled. Kane is a 7 year old pitbull bulldog mix he is a very sweet boy but sadly suffers from seizures. He has some permanent damage to his eye sight and at night has accidents because he still has small seizures while he sleeps. Unfortunately because of his eye sight he scares very easily and is uneasy on his feet. He will need a quiet patient home with no small children. I wish we didn't have to rehome him but w several small kids 1 being autistic the noises and quick movements scare him and he gets very defensive growling and barring his teeth because he can't see them. Our home is no longer what is best for him and we want him to have a happy quiet life

Nova is approximately 8 months old and about 50 pounds. I adopted her from a puppy rescue in NY where she was transported to from the south at 4 months old. I do not have much history other than coming from the south, but in the time I’ve known her she is a sweet girl-loves to give kisses on your face, loves being around people, loves a good adventure and then sleeping under the blankets with you at night. Unfortunately, I have several cats in the home whom she chases constantly causing a lot of stress in the household. She is a very social dog, she LOVES other dogs—I have spoken with a trainer and she would really benefit from a household with a household with another dog. She engages in some boredom behaviors like destructive chewing and pacing, likely due to boredom. I just cannot provide her with the lifestyle she needs. She requires a home with: •An experienced adopter willing to train •fenced in yard •dog companion •no cats/small animals in the home

Freya`s adoption fee & her first Family Dog School class have been graciously sponsored by two generous donors!Hallå! I`m Freya and true to my name, I`m an absolute goddess of love! Socializing with people, going outside for walks and romps in the pen and playing in the water are just some of my favorite activities. I can be a bit wary of men at first, but I warm up quickly, and have no issues with new women at all. I was brought to Berkshire Humane Society when my previous housemate (another unspayed adult female) and I would get into scuffles, usually resulting in minor injuries for me, and our owner could not manage to keep us separate anymore. Since coming to the shelter, I`ve made many human friends, but need a home without any other dogs. I also can`t live with cats as I have a bit of a prey drive. I settle nicely in my kennel with an occupier, but can be a tad vocal when I can see my people from my kennel, but can`t get to them. What can I say? I just want to be with my human friends as much as possible!
