She is looking for a active, patient family who is ready to shower her with love and is excited to continue her training.Hennifer has typical boxer mix energy, where she loves a good play session and will crash hard for a nap after. She adores playing with other dogs and is learning how to take cues from other pups. She'd do just fine with or without a canine sibling. Hennifer's basically ignored cats when fostered down south, so she'd do well with a dog-savvy cat in the home. Because she loves meeting humans (small and big) alike, she'd do best with dog-savvy kids who are able to give her some time and space to get to know them. She is mostly crate-trained and house-trained. She is crated occasionally during the day and overnight without any issues. Hennifer may bark or whine at first but eventually settles and will continue to improve her crate training with time and structure. She is mostly house trained and will continue to thrive when taken out on a consistent schedule and routine. She is working on her leash manners and enjoys her daily walks.Hennifer's a vibrant gal who's zest for life will likely have you falling in love with her in no time- is she the one for you? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. Story
Capri Sun is a older lady who is looking for a special home. She is one of the dogs from the large surrender we took of under-socialized boxers. Due to her abnormal history she is a very nervous lady who is slow to warm up to people and new situations. Capri Sun will need a family committed to helping her settle in at her own pace and learn normal dog behaviors. She would likely do best in a home without another dog or young kids. If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog thats a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit http://www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) theyre interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
We adopted our dog as a puppy. She was the runt of a litter of puppies born in a hoarder house in Alabama. She was about 12 weeks old when we got her from a rescue organization. She is great size. She is active when you are but completely okay to lounge around on days when you're home. We love our dog so much. With us she is so sweet asking for pets and sitting on my lap (even though she is a large dog). She is cute as can be with short hair and a whippy tail. Her brindle color is unique. She barely sheds. With her pack, she is the best dog. She is very well trained with commands and housebroken with no issues. The issues is she is aggressive to strangers and resources guards other dogs. We have tried training and some behavior work but she is a challenge. She has a bite history. We have a 10 year and she is okay with her since she has known her since she was a puppy. The problem comes when kids come overor anyone really. She gets scared but then turns aggressive.

Story
Meet Cash! He is a 1 year old neutered male Boxer that is mostly white with some black spots. Cash is quite the friendly, outgoing dog! He loves going on his walks, and meeting all the people that want to say hello to him. Cash is a young, boisterous boy who is looking forward to training with his new family- he`s still working on his manners and can`t wait to continue learning with you!Cash has met a variety of dogs while he`s been with us. Sadly we don`t have any history for him, but he`s had some dogs who`s company he`s enjoyed and others who he didn`t. If you`ve got a dog- let`s plan a date and see if they`d like to be friends! We are unsure if he can live with a cat or small animals, we are leaning towards no, but chat with our staff about your household and if it might work. Our shelter is open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-4 (closed Mondays). If you are interested in this pet, please review our adoption process at www.lowellhumanesociety.org/adoption/#process so you`re prepared to adopt & stop by the shelter with the required information to take home this pet.

Story
Herbie is a lovable 70-pound Boxer mix with a heart full of gold. About a year old, he was found wandering the back roads of Tennessee without a collar or microchip, battling a tough case of mange. While no one has come forward to claim him, Herbie is now looking for his forever family! His skin is healing beautifully, and his sweet, curious nature shines through more each day. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Herbie enjoys his daily walks and is getting better at leash manners. He’s also learning to curb his excitement when greeting people! He’s great with other dogs and, after playtime, is happy to sit quietly by your side. He hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, but we think his gentle personality would be a great match for the right home! Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast states weekly, helping high-risk homeless animals like Herbie find loving homes. For more info on our mission, adoption fees, and drop-off points, visit us at CritterCavalry.com! &#226&#156&#168 Could your family be the one Herbie's been waiting for? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 11, 2024, 7:28 pm

MEET ORION! No young children please!Orion is a big love looking for his new home! He is a great hiking or walking buddy with plenty of energy. He`s hoping his new home will have a yard attached for lots of playtime before snuggling up on the couch. He seems to love most dogs and cats he`s met. With him being such a lovebug, he`s not the biggest fan of being left alone and would enjoy having some sort of company when others are out of the house. Despite his big size, he can be fearful of new scary things and even scared of little kids. He will need a bit more patience and time than your average lad, but he`s happy to shower you in affection in exchange. Could he be your perfect one? Please note, Orion will require multiple meets before going to his forever home!Orion is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Orion or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. MEET FENDER!Fender is a sweet and smooshy guy described by his foster as an `absolute gem`. He is looking for a quiet home, outside the city, with or without another pup at home. He is still very much a puppy in the best ways, but also has a great foundation with being housebroken and walking well on leash. He is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog, who loves to think he is a lapdog and will hop right up there on command. He is very active and food motivated. He loved doing dog agility drills and would be a great running partner, great for someone with an active lifestyle. He wants to come with you wherever you go and is happy to be along for every moment. Fender is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Fender or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170.
