She is looking for a active, patient family who is ready to shower her with love and is excited to continue her training.Hennifer has typical boxer mix energy, where she loves a good play session and will crash hard for a nap after. She adores playing with other dogs and is learning how to take cues from other pups. She'd do just fine with or without a canine sibling. Hennifer's basically ignored cats when fostered down south, so she'd do well with a dog-savvy cat in the home. Because she loves meeting humans (small and big) alike, she'd do best with dog-savvy kids who are able to give her some time and space to get to know them. She is mostly crate-trained and house-trained. She is crated occasionally during the day and overnight without any issues. Hennifer may bark or whine at first but eventually settles and will continue to improve her crate training with time and structure. She is mostly house trained and will continue to thrive when taken out on a consistent schedule and routine. She is working on her leash manners and enjoys her daily walks.Hennifer's a vibrant gal who's zest for life will likely have you falling in love with her in no time- is she the one for you? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. Story
Capri Sun is a older lady who is looking for a special home. She is one of the dogs from the large surrender we took of under-socialized boxers. Due to her abnormal history she is a very nervous lady who is slow to warm up to people and new situations. Capri Sun will need a family committed to helping her settle in at her own pace and learn normal dog behaviors. She would likely do best in a home without another dog or young kids. If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog thats a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit http://www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) theyre interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
Herbie is a lovable 70-pound Boxer mix with a heart full of gold. About a year old, he was found wandering the back roads of Tennessee without a collar or microchip, battling a tough case of mange. While no one has come forward to claim him, Herbie is now looking for his forever family! His skin is healing beautifully, and his sweet, curious nature shines through more each day. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Herbie enjoys his daily walks and is getting better at leash manners. He’s also learning to curb his excitement when greeting people! He’s great with other dogs and, after playtime, is happy to sit quietly by your side. He hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, but we think his gentle personality would be a great match for the right home! Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast states weekly, helping high-risk homeless animals like Herbie find loving homes. For more info on our mission, adoption fees, and drop-off points, visit us at CritterCavalry.com! &#226&#156&#168 Could your family be the one Herbie's been waiting for? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 11, 2024, 7:28 pm
