Sable is a verrrrrry well trained high energy girl who would love a home that takes her walking/running/hiking and plays fetch and ball with her! She listens wonderfully and does best with laid back dogs that enjoy goofing off with her. She is currently in a home where the owners work multiple jobs leaving little time for her and even less time for good hard fun. Life is boring in a crate. If you are looking for a fun sidekick to join you in lots of activities, please apply! She would be over the moon to live the life she craves! contact irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application.

Story
Bruno has been through a lot. I adopted him at 3 months old, where he was microchipped and neutered. I adopted him from Arkansas. He traveled by bus with many other dogs. When I picked him up in Maryland, he was shaking from his journey. I brought him down to Richmond (where I was living in a townhouse with three roommates and a pit bull terrier). Now he is a happy, very well-behaved dog who enjoys running outside or cuddled up on the couch. Bruno will be 4 years old this upcoming Cinco de Mayo. I am moving abroad in January and must find a suitable home for him. He is very timid but has never shown any sign of aggression to any person or dog. Bruno is laid back, goofy, fully house-trained, and would do well in a family where someone is mostly home.

I am a young, playful soul always ready for a game of fetch or a brisk walk. I am also pretty smart, as I am quick to learn new tricks, and eager to please. I am a bit dominant around other dogs but I am working hard on some additional socialization so I understand how to behave around other doggies. By the way, besides people, I am also cat-friendly. My fun-loving spirit is infectious and I'm sure to bring joy to any home. Will you be the lucky one to welcome Lollie into your home?Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Chase is a wonderfully sweet 55-lb one year old looking for a loving home with an experienced adopter and no other pets in the house. We adopted him through a foster program and immersed him into a household with three other dogs. He loves long car rides, walks, cuddling, exploring the beach, ocean waves, playing with toys and chasing a tennis ball. He is a wonderful walking partner and he is house trained! He loves other dogs but is reactive to them and would do better with an owner that can spend the time in training to help manage some of his territorial behavior. He has anxiety about being left alone, particularly in the crate but does very well at night being crated in the same room as us. With more extensive training, he will be a fantastic family dog. We will miss Chase and would love to be able to visit him after he is re-homed.

Story
Nala is a sweet dog, with who I’ve built such an immense bond with the last two years. She is a sweet girl who loves walking, sun bathing, and playing. She loves her belly rubs, treats, and is such a great house dog. Nala is kid-friendly, but she is also scared of them so when she’s around our toddler she won’t get near her. Unfortunately, Nala comes from a place of neglect. When we adopted her, we knew we had lots of work to do, so we did lots of one-on-one training with her with a personal trainer. She has come a long way, she graduated from Obedience 101 Class from Paw by Paw. In early July, we had an accident, where she got provoked by a person and she bit them. Unfortunately, because my husband and I don’t have our place, we are looking for someone who’s going to love her and give her the attention that she needs. It breaks our hearts having to rehome her, and I never thought I’d have to do this. We hope to find her the right home, she’s our sweet girl.

Story
I got Ace from a breeder in Silver Spring last year in August. He’s a purebred dogo argentino but is deaf. Hes a very sweet dog who has a lot of energy with other dogs but is kind and loving. Ace is a year and a half and definitely still has puppy energy. He will need someone who is willing to put in the time to work with him in his new home. He’s very smart and can learn quick. I would keep him myself, but unfortunately not longer have the funds to keep him and properly train him
