Story
Hi there! I'm Mason, your soon-to-be best friend. I'm just a puppy but I'm super smart and love learning new tricks. I'm a ball of energy, always ready to play and explore. My tail wags like crazy when I'm happy, which is pretty much all the time! I love making friends, especially with other dogs. They say I'm sweet and friendly, and I think that's pretty accurate. .I had family once, but they couldn’t care for me any longer. If you adopt me, I promise to bring lots of love and laughter into your life. + I believe everyone needs a loyal friend who'll always be there for them. And that's me! To complete an adoption application Just click the "Adoption Application" link next to my photos above or Visit our website at www.onceuponatailrescue.com Don't forget to follow us on Facebook & Instagram! #outdogrescue If you want to meet a pup in person, Once Upon a Tail Rescue does adoption events at PetSmart in Covington, LA on most Saturdays with many of our adoptable dogs there. Don't forget to complete your application ahead of time, so you don't miss out on the pup you've connected with. If pre-approved, you have first priority & can usually take home your new best friend the same day! *Please note that there is no obligation to adopt by completing an application.* **All dogs are required to have complete vet services, including shots, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip, which are included in the Adoption Fee. Some dogs may still require completion of these services due to current age, size, breed and/or health. All vet services must be done at the vet clinic used by Once Upon a Tail Rescue.

Story
We adopted Boudreaux as a new puppy in Georgia. There he had a large house, yard, and undivided attention. Now, Boudreaux is 6 years old and we have moved states, downsized living quarters and yard space and added two small children. Though Boudreaux is great with our kids, we dont have the time to give to him anymore. Between our young children and working 12+ hours a day, he is stuck in a kennel a majority of the week. Boudreaux is a big cuddle bug who just wants to be pet. He loves to nap, to cuddle and give kisses, he loves car rides and boat rides, and short walks. He’s calm and lovable. Boudreaux would be best with a family that will spend time with him outside but also lay with him on the couch.

Story
NOTE! Please read the last paragraph to learn how to apply to Adopt or to Foster Grady! Well, look who is ready and waiting for Adoption OR a Foster Home! It is GRADY, the Boxer mix we recently rescued. He has turned out to be THE best boy and is loved by everyone that meets him...well, except for cats...they don't like him much. Grady has been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and tested Negative for heartworms!! He came to us at about 62 pounds, but he is still thin. We believe he is approximately 2 years old, probably less. He sometimes still urinates like a puppy and he's so curious about Everything... sneaks up on anything unfamiliar. It's so cute to watch! Grady is house-trained and he knows 'sit.' He takes treats very gently from your hand and will give you big kisses in return. He's playful, but will chill with you on the couch, too. Grady is good with other dogs and children; but NOT good with cats. He's an all-around great dog and has many years ahead to fill your life with love and fun! Please apply to Foster OR Adopt him by completing the online application you will find near his photos on our website, www.BaytownHumaneSociety.org !

Story
Hi, I'm Casteil! My life started off a bit ruff, but I'm not one to dwell on the past. I'm a happy guy & always looking for the positive. In fact, I was so sick that I was rushed to a Vet for emergency treatment, but that's what actually saved me from being euthanized for space that week at a rural shelter, so how's that for seeing the glass half full! Nothing that couldn't be fixed though & I'm all healed up now and ready for a new adventure. I'm as sweet as the icing on your doughnut, as friendly as your morning barista, and playful as a pup with a new lease on life. I'm so grateful for this second chance and I promise to make the most of it. If you're looking for a loyal companion who'll make you laugh and cherish every moment, then I'm your guy!
