Meet Bucky! Bucky is a shy flower who will blossom after he gets to know you a little bit more. He has been with us for just over 2 years now, but he's been waiting for a Furever home for so much longer than that even! He came to us from another rescue that closed down and left all their animals behind in cages. Prior to that, he had been at a foster's home for a very long time. He is over 4 years old and has never actually had a family to call his own - he has grown up in the shelter system. In his previous foster home, his foster said he had a dog friend - but in our care he has really just preferred to be on his own. Change is scary for him because it's all he's known, but once he settles in he is SUCH a great boy! Rope toys are the way to his heart, he will come right out of his shell!

Meet Espresso! Unfortunately we will never know this sweet old man's past, other than he was found as a stray and taken to a kill shelter where he was euth listed only because of his age. The only dog in an empty row they decided wasn't worth living and to walk down the hall and never return. We could not let that be his fate. Since being with us, this sweet old man has stolen every heart he's met. Espresso is mostly concerned with any person wiling to give him a little affection. He is so thankful to be given a second chance at life and would love to be yours furever. Espresso is good with other dogs at times, but we think we would do best in a home where he can be the only pup.

Baxter is about 8 years old and is a big ol goofy boy who loves to play with his stuffy toys. He is a happy go lucky sort of boy, but can be protective of his people. Baxter is fine with some dogs and not with others so we would prefer he goes to a home with no other dogs. When he does play with other dogs he has a rough and rowdy play style that cam be overwhelming to some dogs. The ideal home for Baxter would be a quiet house without a lot of in and out traffic of non family members coming and going, a nice couch or dog bed for him to lounge on, a toy box full of stuffy toys and a privacy fenced back yard. He is not a dog that requires a lot of exercise so playing in the house with his toys or in the backyard should be fine for him. Meet Darrell! This poor scared boy was placed on a euthanasia list due to a horrible skin infection all over his body. We rescued him and got him all fixed up, he is unrecognizable now from the scared wrinkly puppy we saw at the shelter! He now has a healthy coat and is blossoming in personality too. At first he can be pretty shy, but he warms right up with a few treats or tosses of his favorite squeaky ball! He uses his ball as a binky and carries it with him everywhere he goes. He is learning what it's like to be a real dog, who is loved and cared for! He likes to go for rides in the car and is a really good rider! His foster parents say he is going to be the best dog ever for some very lucky family. He is also fully potty trained.

Meet Maddux! This sweet boy came to us from death row at a local kill shelter after he had been dropped off after being found as a stray. He was undoubtedly the skinniest, most starved dog we've ever seen and his poor body was covered in sores. Unfortunately, his tail was so rotten it had to be amputated immediately. Maddux really misses his tail and doesn't understand why humans failed him so much. He is eating well and is at a healthy weight, and also learning to trust new people. He knows every command and is extremely well trained, he will even give you a big hug if you kneel down and ask him! Maddux' is medium/calm energy. His favorite activities are slow strolls and playing with his ball. His ball is his life! He has a very sweet heart overall and just needs a patient person who will help him learn what it's like to live a normal life for once. Maddux would make a great companion.
