Good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
My Dad and Best Friend passed away, and l'm looking for my forever home! Healthy Male 3 yr. old Boxer Mix. Neutered. Vaccines are Up-To-Date till Oct. 2025. Super friendly, and love to give kisses! Not fond of little dogs, and little children that take my toys. Needs a slow introduction to new doggies over time. Loves to be the center of attention. I don't like cats, and get a little nervous during thunder storms. I would love an energetic family that plays! Since my Dad passed away in Oct. 2024 and all the changes, I have had some separation anxiety and will follow you around the house and look for you when you’re gone but will calm down after awhile. Will let you gently know when I have to poop and potty outside, and come right back in on my own. Like's car rides! Trainable, and very smart!! Needs a slow introduction to new doggies over time. Sometimes thinks he is a lap dog and loves snuggles!

Story
Dear Family&#44andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;My name is Teddy&#44 and Iandamp;#39;m a sweet&#44 handsome gentleman who has reached his retirement years now and would like to find a home that wants to make me king of the castle&#44 and a bedfellow too - should you need someone to cuddle with in bed. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;I am seven years young&#44 and I love to play! Iandamp;#39;m also really smart and know how to ‘sitandamp;#39; and ‘comeandamp;#39; on command! My friends say they love taking me on walks because Iandamp;#39;m such a good boy and have a good pace - not too fast and not too slow. I walk calmly and at a gentle pace&#44 and I love to share the road with another shelter buddy or two or three. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;ve been in a foster home for some time now and my foster mom calls me the best pup ever. And I mean EVER! She thinks Iandamp;#39;m perfection. I absolutely love to cuddle but also love to play with toys. I do pretty well in my crate while my foster is at work which Iandamp;#39;ve been told is a great skill to have. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;A few of my favorite things are peanut butter&#44 leash walks&#44 cuddling&#44 and going on car rides. I would be perfect for anyone! I can sometimes be a little set in my ways&#44 so Iandamp;#39;d prefer older kids who understand that. And while weandamp;#39;re chatting about kids&#44 if you have any&#44 Iandamp;#39;d really like to meet them before we go home to make sure weandamp;#39;re a good fit.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;In all honesty&#44 it has been such a very long wait. I want so much to make a real family as happy as I make my Foster Mom. Iandamp;#39;d sure like to have the chance to love you forever. Contact the shelter to find out about meeting me!andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Love from Teddy

Story
Lily is the sweetest girl! She loves, loves toys! Enjoys a good game of fetch and shredding stuffed toys! She’s an excellent snuggler and a very clean lady. She keeps her kennel extremely tidy. She is crate and house trained. She can be very shy in the beginning but food wins her heart! Good with some other dogs. Cats unknown.

Story
Buttercup was in our shelter for a short time before being adopted 4 years ago. She was recently found as a stray. From her earlier owner we learned that at that time she was potty trained and knows the commands Sit, Down, Stay, Shake. She enjoys tug and fetch. We don`t know what has happened in the time between then and now, but there is a good chance she still has that training or would pick it up again quickly. Buttercup is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and ready for a loving home that wants her forever!

Story
Who loves a golden girl? Meet KCPP`s own golden girl, Virginia. This girl is an 11 year old boxer who weighs 66 pounds. She came to be at the shelter when a citizen saw her being dumped from a car near the shelter. The citizen was able to collect her before she was hit by a car and bring her in. In her golden years, Virginia should be chilling in her one of many dog beds, until her food is served in her fancy dog bowl. She definitely deserves to be in a home and not the shelter. She enjoys car rides, napping, and at times, acts like a puppy at heart.Virginia likes to take her walks at her own pace and who can blame her? This girl deserves to take her time and smell the flowers, if she chooses! Virginia has attended doggy play group and is selective with her doggy friends- she may be happiest spending her golden years as an only dog. If you have a nice, social dog- please bring them in to meet Virginia. Virginia went on doggy day out and was great in the car. She isn’t a big treat fan, unless the treat is maybe a chicken tender or nugget, then this senior gal is IN! Also, Virginia seems to love children. She was in her glory around the kids on her DDO. We know she is gentle and relaxed and would love to have someone fall forever in love with her! She will definitely not judge you for binging shows on TV, as long as she is snoozing next to you! She recently spent an afternoon with a volunteer: “We took Virginia for a drive, and got her some McDonald’s French fries! She was a little apprehensive about eating them at first, but once she got a taste she wanted more and more! She did so good in the car as well! We took her home and gave her lots of snuggles, and she gave us so many kisses! She didn’t get up on the couch until we invited her up! We watched Bluey, and she seemed to really like it! She is so gentle, sweet and loving, and was really good about doing her business outside! She didn’t bark or pull on her leash, and she knows sit and kind of knows lay down! Virginia is the sweetest girl. She doesn’t seem to have any bottom teeth, so she wasn’t interested in treats or chewing on a toy. Virginia deserves to be in a happy home with a family who will be happy to let her snuggle with you on the couch and give you lots of kisses. She is SUCH a good, happy puppy dog!”Virginia is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Her ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort

These pups are in Kansas City, Kansas too!

Story
This is Doobie! As you can see, he's a BIG boy (110 lbs) with an even bigger heart! He's around 2 1/2 years old, the size of a min. pony, strong as an ox, stubborn as a mule, as smart as a chimp, and lazy as a sloth, but I assure he's all dog. We really want to see him with someone that has a lot of patience and can properly socialize and train him. It's not to say he isn't trained, but we go by the saying, "Doobie does what Doobie wants" for a reason. He's very smart, but will play dumb as if trying for an Oscar. He knows when he's doing something wrong, but sometimes he just can't help himself. We live in a larger apartment and he does pretty well, but I think he would flourish in a home with a fenced in yard. He has not been properly socialized with other animals, but has done fine with small dogs when traveling to his grandma's. A harness is a must when walking, the sight of another dog gets him overly excited. He's good with kids, but due to his size the bigger the better.

Story
Liberty is looking for a new home, she was born June 21st 2021 and adopted to our family on August 24th of that same month. Liberty had always been part of our family, on April 2023 she had her first litter of 13 puppies and a year later she was spayed. Liberty started showing agressive signs after she gave birth to her puppies and some what returned to normal after she got spayed, but unfortunately our family situation has changed and we no longer have time to take care for her. she is left alone for the majority of the day in her cannel and taken out to the bathroom but then she looks for ways to get out and roam around our neighborhood where she has barked accessibly to teenager, adult males and other dogs, we love liberty and hope she can have a second chance on finding a good home where she can receive love, the care and time that she deserves.
