Hi there! My name is Pretty, and I'm a 1-year-old boxer with a lot of love and energy to share. I came in from animal control, and while my past might be a bit of a mystery, I'm all about looking forward to a bright future with a loving family. When I first arrived at the shelter, I was very hyper and loved jumping on people to show my excitement. But guess what? I've already improved so much! I can now easily redirect my energy to my favorite squeaky toys. Fetch is one of my all-time favorite games, and I'll even drop the toy for you so we can keep the game going. I have a fun habit of dropping my toys in spots where I have to fish them out, so I might really enjoy a snuffle mat! I adore treats and will sit very nicely for them. I pick up on training quickly, so I'm sure I can learn lots of new tricks and commands with your help. Even though I have a lot of energy, I also have a very sweet side. Penny is 3 years old, 47lb, spayed, fully vetted, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and current on heartworm/flea/tick/mite prevention. I adopted her from Evansville Animal Care and Control, and she has been in my home since February 14. Her back story is mostly unknown but she was found living in a hole behind a gas station. She is very sweet, loves to cuddle her human, and enjoys chew toys. She needs a home without small dogs and cats. After 2 weeks, she showed aggression to my 13lb Pekingese which is why I must rehome her. She has never shown aggression to me or any other dogs/humans she’s met while in my care. Penny is highly treat motivated and needs someone to work with her on basic manners and leash training. She does potty in the house if left alone. She loves sunning outside and giving kisses. It is unfortunate my home is not a fit for her but hopefully this post captures the attention of a home with the right circumstances.
