Story
Tyson is for the most part a good dog. He is 7 years old. Hes a guard dog that barks when he hears noises. He is friendly. He likes to cuddle and sleep on the bed. He is crate trained and knows commands like sit, down, shake and stay. He doesnt mind getting a bath as long as water is warm. He eats practically any food you give him or food he can find. He gets along fine with other dogs and likes to just lounge around most of the time. Im very sad I have to get rid of him but landlord says no pitbulls. He makes a very good companion dog. I dont have any paperwork on him. I got him from a family in 2020 that was in a similar situation. They had to move into a place that didnt accept dogs. If your interested contact me. I do work mon-fri 8 a.m. to 430 p.m. but I will try to get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you

Story
Our Benji boy just isn't himself anymore. We need a foster home (or an adopter!) for him. Outside of his kennel, he continues to be the happy-go-lucky boy who we all know and love. Inside his kennel, he is struggling and seems so sad. Usually he will greet us at the kennel door. Now, Benji hangs back and prefers to lay on his bed. His spirit is dulled as he continues to be overlooked without a home. If you can foster Benji, there is no cost to you! MHS covers all supplies, vet care, and guidance! You open your home and provide love and support. Here are a few reasons why you should foster Benji: He has awesome manners and an even better personality. He is super smart! He loves walkies and walks like a dream on a leash! He loves nap time and is well-balanced when it comes to being energetic but also chill. Benji knows how to sit, stay, lay down, shake, rollover, and he takes treats so politely. He has positive body language with other dogs and re-directs so nicely when on walkies! He asks, though, to be the only furbaby in his new home and for everyone to be teenagers and older. He is a little over four years old and is neutered. To foster Benji, please fill out the application here: https://michianapets.org/get-involved/foster. To adopt Benji, please call us at 219-872-4499 to set up a time to meet him! He may ask you to visit him more than once but look at how perfect he is once he knows you! Let's find Benji his family.

Story
Hannah was at Lousiana shelter most of her young life.  She is now 4 years old and around 45 lbs. HANNAH was rescued from Louisiana. Hannah is a very loveable and sweet girl. It took us over a year to make her a house dog. She preferred to stay in our kennel area or outside.  She is still a work in progress, however she has grown into a confident homebody that love to sit in her fosters chair. She loves to pester dogs, she never learned how to play with other dogs as a puppy.  With dogs that are older or smaller she can show an alpha side. However she has zero aggression in her. She is well behaved in the house.. She probably won't come to you at first, but treats are the way to her heart.  She is calm and once she trusts you she wants to just be by your side. She is okay in the car, however she is not a dog that would want to visit new places, and she won't walk on a leash unless she has to, such as going to vet etc. She did go to daycare and the staff there said she did great, getting her inside was not the easiest as she had to walk through a large parking lot, through many cars that were parked or moving. She is not a city dog and a quiet life is best for her.  Hannah is available under our Foster to Adopt Program.  A secure fenced in back yard is needed, and someone who is home more and has the time to give her the love and companionship she never had. Children should be over the age of 8 years old. She never goes in a crate, and she does not need one. She can free roam when your not home. She does not chew, and is housebroken. We will only consider applications within 50 miles of Crown Point, Indiana so we can assist the adopter with her transition and bring her to your home for a visit. Her adoption fee is $100. Hannah is spayed/ vaccinated and microchipped.  For more information on our Foster to Adopt Program go to this link https://indianasaveadog.com/foster-to-adopt ##1908388##
