Meet Oakley, our lovable 4-year-old mixed Boxer breed who is very sweet! He is great with kids and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him a perfect fit for a family environment. Oakley is full of energy, always ready to play, and absolutely thrives in open spaces where he can run and explore. The only thing that makes him a little nervous is delivery drivers; but with some reassurance, he settles down quickly. Oakley is looking for a home where he can stretch his legs and share his big heart.

Harper is a sweetheart and loves to cuddle and borrow underneath the covers with you. She loves to swim and play, but we believe that she needs to go to a home with someone who is experienced with bully breeds. We have a five year-old male German Shepherd, and they will play and get along great most of the time, but there have been instances where Harper will show random aggression. We are not sure what is triggering this and we don’t understand why it’s happening. We have a toddler at home and can no longer have Harper in our house. We believe that she would be a great dog if she was given the proper training and if she was with someone who could give her that training and attention she needs.

Hi, I'm Ash. I've been through a lot, and I'm still searching for my happy ending. When I first came to FDHS, I was in rough shape. I was a stray with a painful hip injury and was pretty freaked out. The kind people at FDHS took care of me, fixed my hip, and showed me lots of love. I got adopted once and for a little while, I though I'd found my forever. But it turns out it wasn't the right fit. I don't really do well with being left alone for long periods. It makes me feel scared and unsure- I need someone I know I can count on to come back for me. I prefer a quieter lifestyle and would love nothing more than a steady home where I can feel safe and loved. I'll be honest- I'm a little stubborn sometimes, but I'm also a really big softie who loves really hard. I'll be your shadow, your protector, and your biggest fan. I get along fine with other animals, but because of my hip, I need a more gentle playmate. I just want a person who won't give up on me. Someone who sees my past quirks and understands that I've been hurt before. If you can give me the love and stability I've been searching for, I promise to give you my whole heart in return.Will you be my forever?**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention.
