Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tony is such a lover, although he is shy around strangers at first.  We think he has hound and boxer in him but who knows.  He and his siblings were dumped in front of someone's house with their mother and unfortunately his mother and one sibling were hit by a car before the homeowner even knew about it and they didn't make it.  He loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home and he absolutely LOVES a good game of tug-o-war.  He does really love to snuggle too though.  Like most puppies he is full of energy unless he is napping.  He has puppy manners too so will need some training, but he has been doing a great job and knows a lot of his basic commands, walking on a leash, crate trained, housebroken.  He hasn't really met a cat but doesn't seem super interested at events and he loves kids.  He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $600 To adopt Tony fill out an application at https://www.kakf.org/forms/Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 16, 2025, 7:26 pm

Story
I can be shy when meeting new people and will do my best to hide, but once I get to know you get ready for an active and playful buddy! I greet the people I know at the shelter with a goofy little dance, a face full of kisses and offer my tummy for all the rubbing they can give! Of course, going outside for playtime is great, I can stretch out and run, picking up balls and toys to play fetch with. I have been known to get the zoomies inside too, so a small home might not be ideal since I weigh 68 pounds, but access to a safe outdoor space might be a possibility. I have quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite here and can't wait to find my furever home. If I sound like the dog you have been dreaming about please submit an application today.   If you are interested in adopting this adorable boy, please FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 815-858-2265 or email us atsafehaven1471@gmail.com. Story
Penelope is a great dog. She’s sweet, she is smart. My issues is she gets violent towards my other female, her mother. We have tried everything to reintroduce nothing has worked for well over a year. I cannot risk the safety of my child. Penelope needs single family willing to dedicate their time to her. She will attack cats, and so far female dogs. I have two males she gets along with fine.

Story
Red is a cuddle bug but he also needs to work. He loves sticks. He is aggressive towards his father. I currently have him and another female who do not get along with my other dogs. I can’t risk either of them harming my newborn child. I need help ensuring they go to great forever homes. I believe they need homes with single families no other animals. I love them and have raised them from pups but due to the aggression towards my other dogs we have had to alternate them out of cages. We have dealt with breakouts and fights. I cannot handle the potential fights anymore.
