Story
Hattie has been with us since being adopted from a breeder as a puppy. She is 2 years old, full of boxer energy, loves getting the zoomies and being busy. She has been with our older dog since bringing her home. Recently our older dog has taken issue with Hattie and we feel like it unsafe to keep them together any longer. Hattie is always happy, wanting to snuggle and be involved in whatever is going on. She is a super sweet girl and needs a home where she can get all the attention you can give.

Story
Acquired Allie from my daughter. She had circumstances change in her life and was not able to keep him. He is a very good watch dog, likes to watch over and protect his family. My daughter had a child while she had him, and he would sit and guard the cradle. He is good around the grandkids, takes him a little time to warm up to adult males. We have other dogs, he gets along with them. She sent in for a DNA screen and it came back primarily boxer and a small % of hound. we are guessing Greyhound because he looks like a tall boxer. We have had boxers before, he definitely has boxer traits. He is used to being free in the house and has a large fenced in yard. However my daughter kept him caged when she was not home, and he got his exercise on a leash. He adjusts well. He is 3-1/2 years old. He was acquired from a shelter when he was a puppy. He has a companion that he has always been with, a 3-1/2 year old bulldog/Husky mix. They could be adopted together, as they both need new homes.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Everyone who has ever met Tony always talks about how sweet and great he is.  So we can't even begin to figure out why he hasn't found his home yet.  This poor boy went through so much as a baby, he and his siblings and mother were dumped on the side of the road by someone's farm and a sister and his mother were hit by a car and didn't make it.  Luckily he and his brother and sister were okay and they were taken in by the family.  He is a very shy guy as first with strangers, he is timid and needs someone to help him build more confidence.  Another dog would be great to help him with this and he absolutely LOVES other dogs.  He is also amazing with kids and doesn't seem to be interested at all with cats.  We have no idea what kind of dog he is, he has an adorable underbite, and brindle fur.  His siblings looked like boxers so we assume there is boxer in his, and he definitely has some hound as well.  Probably lab too...We would love it if someone did a DNA test on him.  He has been living with a trainer (not because he needed one but she offered to foster him for us) so he has amazing manners already.  Crate trained, leash trained, housebroken, knows all his basic commands.  He does so well at adoption events, sitting nicely and hanging out.  He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.  We are guessing he is around 50lbs now and probably won't get much bigger.  This guy deserves the best home ever, he has waited so paitiently. His adoption fee is $600 To adopt Tony fill out an application at https://www.kakf.org/forms/Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 8, 2025, 9:56 pm

Story
I can be shy when meeting new people and will do my best to hide, but once I get to know you get ready for an active and playful buddy! I greet the people I know at the shelter with a goofy little dance, a face full of kisses and offer my tummy for all the rubbing they can give! Of course, going outside for playtime is great, I can stretch out and run, picking up balls and toys to play fetch with. I have been known to get the zoomies inside too, so a small home might not be ideal since I weigh 68 pounds, but access to a safe outdoor space might be a possibility. I have quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite here and can't wait to find my furever home. If I sound like the dog you have been dreaming about please submit an application today.   If you are interested in adopting this adorable boy, please FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 815-858-2265 or email us atsafehaven1471@gmail.com.
