Story
Nova has had 4 homes. She was found being abused. Rescuer could not keep her due to finances. Temporary 3rd person had no time to give her. Current owner is older gentleman unable to handle chewing habit Nova does when he is not home. She is a good dog otherwise. He has had her for 6 weeks. That is her only problem. A home with kids & yard would be perfect for Nova. Despite her background she is a loving, sweet girl who deserves a forever home & family.

Story
I’ve had Stella since she was just 5 weeks old. She’s now 1 year Honestly one of the best dogs I’ve ever owned. She’s well trained with commands like sit, stay, lay down, & throwing a treat from her nose & she waits for her food until I say “yes”. She is pretty hyper when you just walk through the door but she calms down & is the biggest cuddle bug ever. Insanely athletic & fast & she loves running around outside so a backyard is preferred. The reason I’m rehoming is because I work too much. She potties in the crate after a few hours so it’s not ideal having her in there so long. I’ve had some issues with her being nosey going through the blinds but other than that she doesn’t really get into or chew anything. Very well behaved otherwise & she loves other dogs. She may be a little too hyper for small children since she jumps but she is extremely friendly & wouldn’t hurt a fly. She free runs majority of the time but needs a leash when out in public or on a walk. Ask questions if needed!

Story
Meatball is a fun young pitty boy who loves the attention and of course loves to play. He is a wiggly boy!! He is only 2 1/2 years old 49LBS and get along with everyone including other dogs. Just happy, happy!! He has been living with many other dogs and has been doing great. This is a note from his foster Mom: He came to us from a multi dog house and fit in immediately. Dominant dogs are not an issue with him, he ignores them but quickly conforms to the scenario. Chasing lizards is his favorite thing to do. So a fenced in yard would be great. Walking on a leash is not a problem; however, he does like to pull occasionally, so a strong parent is best. Occasionally he gets excited and likes to jump on his human friends. We are working on that and making great progress. Treats and food definitely motivate him to behave. He is definitely curious of cats and wants to sniff them. As long as they don't run, he won't chase. So we've introduced him to cats while he is in the crate and he is starting to ignore them. He is the biggest lover and just wants belly rubs from his humans. His bark is basically a grumble and non existent. This "Meatball" will make the best and most loyal companion. if you are interested in a really nice doggy, he is your guy. Please fill out the application online at pets@findahomegiveahome.com under the forms tab. He is up to date and neutered. Crate trained!!! His adoption fee is $100

Story
Iris was on death row before she was rescued!!! A note from her foster Mom: Iris a 4 year old, black-brindle pit-terrier mix, and acts like a Queen, because she's all personality and will be your new shadow. I would imagine her to be the BEST emotional support animal for someone struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and/or sensory issues, as she is a 55 pound weighted dog blanket AND she will also be your 'big spoon' if you lay down on the couch and save even an inch of room for her to scooch behind you (complete with her head resting on yours). See pics Iris understands personal space too. She intently looks at you and listens and brings her quiet love and intensity while she shakes her approving tail at you. You are already her favorite person, no doubt. You'll never wonder if you're loved again, you'll see it in her eyes. She would love to sleep in your bed if you'll let her. But she is also crate trained and treat motivated. She is such a good girl when you give her a bath. She loves peanut butter, and actually, I haven't found a treat or toy she doesn't like, and she's perfectly potty trained. When she meets new people she doesn't jump and bark, she quietly inspects to meet them and then wags her tail. She knows how to 'sit' , knows her name, she can fetch and is good at learning how to bring it back and 'drop-it' but also loves playing tug-of-war. She's full of energy, and can run fast. She gets so excited, she leaps at you to catch her arms, because she loves hugs. Iris gets along well with my three other male dogs but, she is the 'queen on the scene' and makes the boys cow-tow to her. She is the boss and I don't see it working in any other way, in any home. What was supposed to be a 2 week foster has been over a month, Iris and I are getting very attached and the dogs and her are more and more bonded. Unfortunately, I cannot keep her, so it's best to get her into her forever home as soon as possible and I recommend a home where she is the only dominant dog her size or where she is with a smaller dominant dog she will respect barking in her face (like my 15 year old male Pomeranian). She would be a great new friend to a submissive and bored older dog who might want to feel the joy of chasing lizards again. She is an Angel.

Story
Urgent- just got this plea from the shelter. If you can help her please contact us ASAP. We are looking for an adopter. This is a very sad story. She looks so sweet. Tasha is 3 years old and 58LBS 10/23/24 15:50 Tasha was brought into the shelter after she was found trapped in a stolen car that was sinking in a lake. Animal control and the sheriffs department were able to retrieve her and get her to the shelter where we hoped an owner would reclaim. But no one came for her and after almost a week she is more scared then when she arrived. She visibly shakes in her kennel and when she is out she is nervous and scared. She is sweet and wants attention but is very shy and unure of what to do. She is now not wanting to eat due to how nervous she is and we would love to find a quiet foster home for her to decompress and start to feel comfortable while we help her find her new forever family. She is too scared to go to playgroup, when she passes other dogs she just tries to hide.
