We believe she is a boxer/Boston terrier mix. She’s a little under 40 lbs and super friendly with women, but a bit wary of most men. She’s great with other dogs but cats are a no no. Because she was previously tormented by small children kicking her kennel, we recommend she go to a home with slightly older, well mannered children. She’s 2 years old, crate trained and house trained, and UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and heart worm tested negative. She will be spayed April 17th and the cost is included in her adoption. She’s got nothing but love to give and deserves a home who will treat her with respect.

She loves to run in her yard, play with her toys and still has more in her engine to complete zoomies for the day! Look at those eyes! Zara exhibits the typical Boxer love and energy they are known, and loved for. Zara is a sweet girl, and she needs to be an only dog at the moment. She has no problems being near others but still needs some corrections when interacting. She has no problem walking next to each other or passing them on a walk. As a foster/adopter you will need to continue socialization and always advocate for her. Help her make great decisions. It will be crucial for the foster or adopter to provide sufficient guidance and structure for her. She is very timid when she meets new people, but with continued training and slow introductions she will be fine. Our trainer will continue to assist you and Zara be successful. This girl has it all: -house trained -crate trained -good with all dogs -good with cats -athletic with an off switch -very affectionate This girl has been with us since July, 2023 when she was found abandoned in a vacant apartment building. She was briefly adopted to a home as an ESA dog, but returned when the adopter lost her home. Since being back with us, Willow has been a gem! She is super sweet and loves to cuddle!! She also loves to play with toys and other dogs of all sizes. She also does well with cats! When meeting new people Willow can seem very exuberant, but this is something we are working on! She is house and kennel trained and also knows how to sit and jump up really high. She’s super athletic and would make the perfect companion for an active person or family. She walks reasonably well on leash and would not doubt love to be someone’s forever companion! Willow’s ideal home would be with someone she can go on adventures with, but also cuddle on the couch with as a Netflix and chill buddy! This girl has waited sooo long for her perfect family! If you think she could be the girl for you let us know!! She is up to date on vaccines and prevention, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, and spayed.
