Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs around 75 pounds. Gypsy has been with us for 3 years, and we don't know why she has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog we have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with older children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. To emphasize...although Gypsy generally gets along with all dogs (she currently lives in a home with 14 other dogs both large and small and there are no problems), She either needs to be the only dog in the house or only paired with one other large male dog. Gypsy has been with the rescue for 3 years and a change will be scary. She needs an experienced adopter who is patient understanding, and willing to give her the time she needs to get comfortable in a new home. She is a great dog for a single person or couple. Any children should be over 10 years of age. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Glastonbury, Danbury, Lisbon CT, or another scheduled stop closest to you. Please email 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this very good girl. Story
Name: Andy Nicknames: Andrew (in your sternest, most serious parent voice) Sex: Male Breed: Boxer Age: 6 years Weight: 60 lbs. Before OMD: Found himself (as a stray) at the city shelter with a large, uncomfortable growth hanging off his back end. We picked him up from the shelter, got him straight to our vet, and had the growth removed and biopsied which came back as benign! Energy level: Intermittent high. He’ll play fetch until your arms fall off, is always up for a game of tug, and will walk forever. He’s also thrilled when it’s time to relax and he’ll cozy up to you on the couch. Descriptors: Bouncy. Wiggly. Snorty. Playful. Snuggly. Friendly. Clingy. Moonlights as: A soulful lounge singer! He loves to show off his vocal range when he needs to go outside, wants a snack, wants inside, wants your attention, or wants anything for that matter. Velcro level: Off the charts. He loves to rest his head in your lap whenever he gets the chance and will nudge you for pets. If someone gives him an ounce of attention, he’s already planning the wedding and ready to ride off in the sunset together. His favorite things: People. Dogs. Mealtime. Treats. Toys. Chasing squirrels/birds/neighborhood cats. Pulling every single toy out of the toy basket. Saying hello to all the people. Doesn’t love: Being home alone; away from his people. Guilty of: Frequent, audible flatulence. What makes us laugh: Have you ever almost run into something while walking and looking down at your phone? Well, that’s Andy during a walk, except he doesn’t have a phone. He just looks one way and walks the other and that sometimes results in running into a tree, fence, the person walking him, etc. Also: when he is “woo wooing” his paws come off the ground ever so slightly. Knows: Sit. Working on Leave It command. Working on: Four on the floor. Walking in a straighter line and pulling less while on leash. Not counter surfing, but tbh he’s not really working on this one, so the humans will need to be vigilant. Dogs: He’d be thrilled with another dog friend to play with. Currently fostered with a female Boxer. Cats: Unknown. Kids: Sturdy ones due to his jumping. House-trained: Yes, but will sometimes have accidents when home alone and/or crated. Crate-trained: Work in progress. He is definitely not a fan and will let you know, but we are working on positive association. Andy is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from omdrescue.org.

Story
Name: Nisha Nickname: Nish. Baby Nish. Breed: Boxer Age: 2 years Weight: A petite 42 lbs. Before OMD: Found as a (very skinny) stray and did her stray hold at the city shelter. When no one came for her, she joined our crew! Energy Level: Medium-high. Spends a lot of time glued to the couch, but also needs her daily walks, and when the zoomies hit her...take cover! Descriptors: Social. Outgoing. Cuddly. Loving. Silly. Wiggly. Playful. Classic Boxer. Super power: Everyone who meets her falls in love. Love language: Snuggling. Specifically, right on top of you...if she could be one with you, she would. She also shows her love by making sure you never feel alone. No one should have to go to the bathroom alone, after all. What we love most: Her pouty mug. How she insists on gifting you her toys while you're in the shower (yes, depositing them right in the shower)... What she loves most: Keeping an eye (and herself) on her people. Walks. Going to work with her foster dad (a veterinarian!). Shaking her toys vigorously. Peanut Butter. Working on: keeping 4 on the floor. Pulling while on leash (and some reactivity when seeing dogs). Reigning in that Boxer exuberance. Calm state of mind when alone. Kids: Yes, sturdy, dog-savvy kids only though because she is still learning manners and the above noted exuberance. Dogs: Will thrive as an only dog, but there is potential she could do well with a sibling if it's the right match. She is often reactive when she sees a dog on leash and doesn't quite know how to interact appropriately (Boxer exuberance..) when playing and being corrected by another dog. Cats: Yes, if dog-savvy. She currently lives with a cat and does well. She is definitely interested in him, but has learned to peacefully coexist 95% of the time with occasional chasing. Hosuetrained: Mostly. Completely housebroken when her foster family is home (and overnight) but occasional accidents when she's home alone. Crate trained: Not a fan and will make her displeasure known. Ideal Home: A love and understanding for the Boxer breed. An appreciation for snuggling. Home more often than not. Nisha is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She is available for adoption to residents of IL and CT and surrounding states.

Rilee loves people and is always so happy to get back scratches. She will nudge her head into you to get extra loving and happily follow you wherever you go. Rilee is a happy go lucky girl now that she is healthy( she does have some skin allergies that are very manageable)and has learned how to be loved. She gets along great with other dogs, loves children…she is just an amazing girl who deserves the very best home Rilee is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Story
Meet Marcel Marcel Marcel… he is a sweet heart for sure but not so sweet that he won’t steal YOUR treats. Yes, dog food is delicious but no comparison to people food. He knows he’s not supposed to have it but that doesn’t make him any less pitiful while you eat your food. With a little time, he’ll learn and maybe you will learn not to fall for his “puppy” eyes. (Good luck with that). Marcel is ready to complete your family, don’t pass him up. He/she is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped.
