I'm gonna make you an wo-offer you can't refuse. That's Pacino's favorite phrase. The adoption deal is simple: a roof over his head, a cold dish of water, daily meals and treats, plus an abundance of love. What? It's a good deal! Pacino, now over a year old, has become a true Dogfather. He is well-behaved, happy-go lucky, is very handsome, and has a wonderful, playful nature; he fits seamlessly into any family. His lineage boasts a long line of Dog-Father's, tough dogs out in the world whose business is their own. But, they are loyal, loving and strong characters to have around you.. He's a potty-trained and crate-trained gentleman, but he still has a penchant for chewing. He adores treats and toys, but can go through them quickly. Proper and slow introductions to other dogs are essential. Pacino would thrive best with older kids. Join the legacy and give Pacino the family he deserves. After all, a dog like him is an offer you can't refuse. Story
Hi there, I'm Precious. They say that I am called this because I am the most precious dog here at God's Dogs Rescue. I came to the rescue in October of 2022 to have a safe place for me to have and raise my puppies. All my puppies were adopted by the end of January 2023, but I am still here looking for my furever home. I am a bigger girl, but this just means there is more of me to cuddle you, because I love cuddling it's one of my top 3 favorite things. 1) Food- I love food and will do almost anything you ask if you have a treat involved. 2) Cuddles- on your lap, on the couch, in the bed wherever there is a comfy space with pillows or a human I want to be there. 3) Kisses- I have a love of giving kisses to people, especially kids. Although not everyone likes it when I try to kiss them and that makes me sad. 4) Honorable mention- I like going on walks or in the car for a ride, although I prefer just lazing around at home. My current fosters say that I am a "house hippo with springs in my feet whatever that means; I just know sometimes, when I get super happy, I feel like I could fly- or jump really high. I love their kids and am very good with them even the tiny ones. I get along with most other dogs I meet, although I have a big personality about me, because I'm a boss, so sometimes other dogs don't like that about me. I tolerate cats although if they give me too much attitude or growl at me, I can't help but to give them piece of my mind. I like most new people I meet although I had a rough start in life so sometimes, I can be a little wary with men, with time though I adjust, and we can become best friends forever. A few more little details about me: I am 3 years old I am a Boxer/Shepherd mix I am great with kids I am good with Cats and Dogs I am crate-trained I am housebroken I can be adopted in Texas or anywhere in the US too! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Teddy is a sweet and playful Boxer/Shepherd mix. He's a little shy at first, especially in new environments. But with a 4 legged friend, Teddy will quickly come out of his shell. Whether he's zooming around the yard or playing a game of fetch, Teddy's joyful spirit is contagious. Teddy is not just about fun and games, after a fun day of play, Teddy will gather up his toys and bring them onto the couch for some snuggling. He's great with children, other dogs, housebroken, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash, making him a well-rounded companion. Teddy thrives best with a four-legged buddy by his side. Story
Our Miss Daisy is a girl you must meet. She is as sweet as the day is long. Daisy will make an ideal canine companion that revolves in a life of being a spectator. She is a low-key girl who will enjoy spending time hanging out with her family. Some may refer to her as a coach potato, but she prefers the term couch warmer. Daisy is a 9-year-old boxer mix and will warm up a large section of the couch as she weighs around 80 pounds. She will grab attention based on her size and maintain that attention with her loving personality. When not hanging out with the adult or children folk, Daisy does well in the company of other dogs as well. She will be a welcomed addition to a family that has other dogs or children. If her destiny is to be the only dog, Daisy is A-OK with that too. She would love a family and home to call her own. Daisy has not been introduced to a feline since her time in rescue, so her acceptance of a feline companion is unknown at this time. We do know that her sweetheart status is going to delight all who meet her.Being a great house dog requires a skill set and Daisy is a rockstar with her house, crate and leash training. She is ready to move on in to demonstrate her skills to her forever family. She knows they will be proud of her. It is important to remember that although Daisy is house trained, accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Dust off the welcome mat and get ready to invite Daisy inside. She is full of so much love that she will gladly reciprocate all that she receives and more. One day in the life of Daisy will be a lifetime of joyous memories that keep on giving. The adoption fee for Daisy is $300. Handsome, is indeed handsome and so darn cute! Just look at his face and the symmetrical white markings. He is just a year old and weighs 36 pounds. A boxer mix, as you can probably tell.Handsome really likes kids and dogs and boosts a medium energy level. His acceptance of cats is unknown at this time.Boxer mixes are known for being playful, energetic, and affectionate. They can be “clownish” due to their goofy antics. Social dogs who love to be around their family. He also has been working on his house, crate, and leash routines. He is looking forward to mastering each of them. So, it would be best to start at the beginning with a refresher course. Daily short walks will be a good opportunity to work on leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to him with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along his walk. He would also appreciate free time in a back yard or maybe time at a dog park to burn off his energy. Keeping his mind active with activities that provide physical and mental stimulation will prevent boredom. Handsome will want to be with a family that will give lots of affection and attention to him. In return, he will become a wonderful family companion. The adoption fee for Handsome is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs around 75 pounds. Gypsy has been with us for 3 years, and we don't know why she has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog we have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with older children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. To emphasize...although Gypsy generally gets along with all dogs (she currently lives in a home with 14 other dogs both large and small and there are no problems), She either needs to be the only dog in the house or only paired with one other large male dog. Gypsy has been with the rescue for 3 years and a change will be scary. She needs an experienced adopter who is patient understanding, and willing to give her the time she needs to get comfortable in a new home. She is a great dog for a single person or couple. Any children should be over 10 years of age. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Glastonbury, Danbury, Lisbon CT, or another scheduled stop closest to you. Story
Captain here, looking for a dog to lead the way? Consider me! I am loyal, goofy, and lots of fun! I can be nervous until we know each other better, but if you lived on the cold/hot hard streets you may be a little wary with new people too. Now, my time at the rescue has really really improved my life and I am SO MUCH more social and outgoing! I am a big, beautiful reddish-tan Pittie/Labrador mix with a white racing stripe down the middle of my chest! Our small canine family came to God's Dogs Rescue in a pickle, a rag tag group of Labradors and one pregnant female! We came to this safe haven with just 3 dogs and now we're a whole lot more! But all of us are now spayed and neutered and READY for furever families who won't leave us to run the streets and starve, we actually have gotten a little chunky, lol and REALLY HAPPY!! As Captain, I'll ensure that you are properly lead and motivated to get your day to day life moving! Well, that's because I need daily walks but besides the point! Some basic information about Captain; he is male, Pitbull/Labrador Retriever mix, and is medium/large-sized boy, at about 60#. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Meet Nyla, a loving and playful 2-year-old Pitbull Terrier mix who wears the title of "mom" with pride. Nyla's vibrant spirit shines through in her playful antics and her deep affection for belly rubs. When the excitement of playtime kicks in, she has a cute habit of gently taking your hand in her mouth, showing her eagerness for some interactive fun. Nyla has been making great progress in her leash training, proving her willingness to learn and adapt. Baths might not be her favorite activity, as she's a bit wary of water, but her courageous spirit is helping her overcome her fears one step at a time. She's also conquered her initial trepidation of wearing a collar and being on a leash, showing her determination to embrace new experiences. This sweet girl is a fan of knotted ropes and treats - two things that always bring a sparkle to her eyes. While she's currently enjoying the company of her housemates, we're still exploring her comfort level around other dogs. With time and patience, we hope to see Nyla's social circle expand. Nyla's journey is one of growth and transformation, and she's ready to continue that journey with a loving forever family. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with affection and make every moment a joyful one, Nyla might just be the perfect match for you.
