Story
Meet Mia, a petite white Boxer with a personality as bright as her name! Mia was picked up as a stray in Texas and, as far as we can tell, has never experienced life in a home. This sweet, goofy girl is still learning the ropes of indoor life and figuring out her body. Watching her try to hop onto the couch for the first time was hilarious - she's still working on it, but her determination is as boundless as her energy! Mia's tail is always wagging, and she'll bring joy and laughter to any home. She loves other dogs & seems to benefit from following their lead navigating this new *good life* from dog doors to what the heck toys are. She is affectionate & learning that cuddles are the best thing ever. She's ready to find her forever family who can guide her through the world with love, patience, and plenty of playtime. If you're looking for a loving, quirky companion, Mia is ready! Mia is a 1-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $400 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Mia is also tested with other dogs, children, cats, kennel trained, and housebroken. While cat-friendly, she wants to play, and would do best in a home with dog-savvy felines. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! Story
Available to the right adopter, who either has experience with scared dogs, or is willing to continue with her training. Ellie is a precious Boxer mix, that is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes in timid, shy and scared dogs. She is guessed to be under 1 year old. She is absolutely adorable and her eyes will melt your heart but she is still pretty shy. Her foster mom thinks she would do better in a quiet home with adults or older children to work with her. Another confident dog could be helpful, but not necessary. She is dog friendly. Her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced slowly and properly. She will need an adopter, who will give her love and patience. Please consider this adorable girl as a part of your family. She deserves all the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. The shy dogs become the most loyal dogs, who adore their humans. Her foster mom is located in Loveland, Colorado.

Story
Senior alert! This spunky, older fellow is around 55 pounds, 8-10ish years old, and we believe a boxer/pit mix. His four-year-old human foster sibling named him Rex! Rex has had rough life as evidenced by the roadmap of scars on his skin. He was skinny and unhealthy when rescued with terrible allergies, parasites, some lumps that needed to be removed, and teeth that needed cleaning. Rex was picked up as a stray in Houston with many painful, ulcerated burn marks on his paws and underside, thought to be from trauma from being on concrete in the hot sun. He then almost lost his life when he landed on the euthanasia list due to space at a high kill shelter. Despite all of those things, Rex loves people and his forgiveness for our species is very gracious. He reminds us all that age is just a number and resilience can open doors for life to improve for the better. Rex has done well with the kids and all the other dogs in his foster home. He seems to be crate trained and housetrained. We are looking for a forever family to spoil Rex for his remaining time on earth. We have promised to find him a family that will give him regular meals, cuddles, stability, and vet care (though he definitely has a phobia/distrust of the doctor’s office😬). He also requests bed and furniture privileges as he’s becoming rather accustomed to those and appreciates snuggling under his blankets 😂. He is not shy about demanding what he wants and has quite the personality. Rex is still fairly spry and with decent mobility for his age, though he does benefit from some arthritis management. Rex would most appreciate a mature household where he can be a happy home-body living his best predictable life complete with daily treats and pets. Rex is being fostered in Fort Collins, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/rex/. Story
Beautiful Bailey! When Bailey’s foster family first agreed to take her in, it was believed she was a 2-year-old, stray girl who was in need of a chance. When she arrived, it was then we learned the truth about her past. Bailey was adopted in Texas back in 2019 and had been seemingly abandoned by her owner. The grey in her muzzle was apparent and the story lined up. In addition to losing her family during her senior years, Bailey arrived with a large (think lemon sized) mammary mass. Her future looked bleak. But, luck was on her side! We just got the pathology report back from the vets and Bailey’s tumor was benign!!! That means, her second chance is HERE and we are ecstatic to help her find her true FOREVER home now that she’s in colorful Colorado! Bailey is believed to be approximately 8 years old. She’s a petite girl, just under 50 lbs and has a laid-back personality. She’s the perfect match for someone seeking a cozy, couch companion. Bailey is great with kiddos and does well with other dogs her size. No feline friends or small dogs, please. She is also house and crate trained! In a nutshell, she’s perfect! Bailey is being fostered in Castle Rock, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/bailey-2/. Story
Sweet, senior, Pebbles is looking for her permanent retirement home. This frosted face beauty is a 10 year old, 53 lbs, Boxer. She originally entered rescue this summer, however, she was heartworm positive and in major need of a dental. She had her heartworm treatment, got her teeth cleaned and had a bunch of extractions, and now she’s as good as new!! Pebbles is a very dog friendly girl. She greets strangers with her sweet old lady smile, too. In her foster home she enjoys snuggling on the couch and curling up with her canine foster siblings at night in a cozy dog bed. She’s non-destructive and seems house trained.
