Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! **Adopted, but returned because the resident dog in the home was not compatible with her** From the foster: She is known as Peanut in her foster home. The only way to show how amazing she is, is to give her a report card. 0 is the lowest and 100 is the highest. Cuteness overload: 100% and extra credit for her black outlines around her eyes. It looks like she is wearing eyeliner. Her face has the perfect wrinkles. She has the most soulful and innocent eyes. Overall, you will simply melt when you look at her. Snuggles: 100% and extra credit because she wants to be everywhere that you are. Her favorite activity is to snuggle. She wants to just be everywhere you are. Crate: she does not spend much time in a crate since one of her pawrents works from home. She does cry at first in the crate, but will calm down within about 15 minutes. If you play some “dog calming music” it helps (YouTube channel). Puppy voice: 100% because she has a cute little raspy bark. It’s hilarious as you wouldn’t expect that to come from her. Appetite: 100% after she adjusts to being in the house. We do entice her to eat by putting some chicken on the bottom of her bowl under her puppy kibble. She is not food aggressive. She would benefit from a slow bowl just to slow her down as she eats. Energy savings: 100% she will save you on your heating bill this winter by keeping you warm with her snuggles. If you allow her in the bed, she will lay right next to you and keep you warm. This is a huge bonus when it’s cold outside. She also enjoys warming up on floor heater vents, it’s a trademark of hers and it’s adorable. Playfulness: 80% she wants to play, but she is shy at first. When you get her home, she will want to hide behind you. We have walked out into the yard with her and she follows. As she warms up and feels more comfortable, she is playing with her foster brothers. She would do best in a home with dogs who are active as she does have a lot of puppy energy. She will get her zoomies out with her foster brothers and get tuckered out enough to sleep through the night. Potty Training: 70% as she is still a puppy and learning. She will go potty outside when taken. We take her out every hour. She does drink a lot of water so just be mindful of potty breaks when you see her drinking more. When she drinks a lot, we take her out at 30 min intervals. She is also wearing dog diapers here without any fuss. She will use potty training mats if she knows where they are. Chewing: 80% as she is learning what is appropriate to chew on. She responds to a firm “NO” and then give her an appropriate chew toy. Watch her around things like cords or anything that could be unsafe. Overall, she is recommended 100% for anyone looking for a loyal companion. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
0321093 - Hi!  This sweet girl is Zoey (or "Zo Zo" as we call her in her foster home).  Zoey came to Colorado from New Mexico and is ready to find her forever home.  Zoey is a 4-5 year old boxer mix and weighs roughly 50lbs.  She is a very precious and sweet girl who loves affection, loves to give kisses and loves to get belly rubs.  She will follow you around the house to see what you are up to (and to be by your side).  She will also cuddle up next to you and let you love on her all day long!   Zoey is crate trained, potty trained, sleeps all night and likes to go on short leashed walks to take in the new sights and scents of Colorado.  She is also spayed and UTD on her vaccines.   Zoey has two foster doggy siblings.  Although they are all working on getting along, she is still a bit testy with them.  She may be happiest as an only dog, but if you have a mellow dog she may also do fine with a proper introduction to make sure that everyone gets along.  She has been introduced to her two kitty foster siblings, and doesn't show much interest so a home with cats would be fine.   Zoey would do best in calm environment where someone is home most of the day.  Zoey needs to be given the love and affection that she deserves and she promises to love and be grateful to you in return.   If you have the perfect home for this precious sweet pea, please fill out an adoption application at www.sloppykisses.org/adoptions! ##2083574##

Story
HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED!!!  Classic, sophisticated, and years of experience being a good girl, I'm Miracle! As a mature 10-year-old boxer/lab mix, I have many wonderful gifts for my new family. I hope you will read about me and give me the opportunity to meet you and show you how special I am. I am a graduate of a wonderful and comprehensive dog training program, where I learned all of my basic commands (and a few fancy ones, too) so I could be fully prepared to be the best girl I can be for my new home! I walk amazingly well on a leash, and I love checking out the neighborhood of my foster home with my foster sister, but I can also be 100% couch potato. I am fully crate trained and can sleep all night in my crate (full disclosure: my favorite spot is to sleep snuggled up to my 13-year-old human foster sister). My ideal home would be one with lots of love. I love attention, pets, snuggles. Keeping up with my amazing training skills is easy as I am very food motivated! I am currently fostered in a home with one other dog, and I have become BFF's with her. Through proper introductions, I get along well with other dogs. I love my foster sibling and would do well with another dog similar in size to me who also likes to wrestle and play (please check out my videos). I am a lover, not a barker, with such a sweet disposition that everyone loves. My ideal home can absolutely include older children, as I do love kids! Due to my lack of awareness of size, I could unintentionally knock over little ones. My foster home has a 13-year-old girl who lets me sleep on her bed, and I happily greet all her friends who come to visit! All her friends say I’m their favorite! All in all, I’m a very easygoing, happy girl who wants a family to call my own! If that sounds like you, I hope to meet you soon! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##1174512##
