Elmo is the 3rd dog that has been in his foster home for way too long! He was rescued from a southern shelter where he and his mother and siblings were set to be Euthanized in Sept of 2023. Its been almost 15 months since he was saved His mother two sisters and 3 brothers have all found homes. Now its his turn. Oscar weighs 45 pounds and will be 2 yrs old mid December. We believe Elmo might just have some Boxer mix in him. He was a bit timid in the beginning, but he has come around to trusting us at his foster home. He loves racing his brother Ernie when tossing toys, especially balls and knotted ropes and playing tug of war with him. Elmo currently weighs 40 pounds is neutered, tested negative for heartworms, up to date on all vaccines, and he has been on his monthly prevention for heartworms, flea, ticks and parasites.   Adoption Fee is $325 to help cover the cost of vetting, neuter, vaccines and preventatives as well as daily needs. Application must be submitted prior to being considered to adopt. Story
My name is Tymber, and I'm a charming brindle-boxer mix with a delightful curled tail. Although I'm on the smaller side for a boxer, my playful spirit shines through! I adore spending time with people, but unfortunately, I was abandoned by my previous owner. Thankfully, I found a kind soul who took me in and foster me until a spot opened up at Summit's. They got me neutered and updated on all my shots. I am now ready to spend my life life with you!!   Adoption fee $200 (chipped, fixed, updated on shots) Please visit our website www.summitssanctuary.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
This middle aged guy is so handsome! Staff named him Turkey or Turk for short. We estimate he is about 5 years old. He weighs 52 pounds. He is well socialized, good with other dogs and walks well on a leash. He is a calm and mellow dog who likes to give kisses. He found himself homeless after his owner passed. 🥹 Turk is heartworm positive but it’s a very treatable condition with a few different methods to chose from. We will donate $200 toward his treatment cost to the adopter’s choice of veterinarian. Please swing into Guntersville Animal Hospital at 1609 Henry St, Guntersville, Al or call 256-582-3184. Mon-Fri 7:30-5:30 and Sat 7:30-12. Adoption fee includes his neuter, wellness exam, dewormer, rabies vaccine and DAPP vaccine.

Story
Dj is a 2 year old that looks like a Boxer/ Lab mix boy! His mother was rescued by animal control from an abuse situation and she had 8 beautiful puppies while in the pound when they were charging her owner. Mother and puppies were brought to the rescue as soon as they could be released from animal control and all are thriving! There mother is 30 lbs and looks like a bull terrier or shar pei mix because she has such a rounded face. Dj weighs about 45 lbs.  DJ is one of bigger pups and most laid back of the group. He loves to be right next to you. He is playful and loves to eat. Neither he or his siblings destroy durable toys but they will shred a sheet or tent.  He is not good with male dogs but is good with cats and kids. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $250. November 3, 2024, 8:52 am

Story
Flora is a sweet and shy girl looking for a loving home where she can continue to blossom. She may be a little timid at first, but once she gets to know you, her playful and affectionate side shines through! Flora is a medium to high-energy dog who loves to run, play, and have fun, especially when she has a playmate to join in the action. A fenced yard would be needed for her to burn off energy, explore safely, and to keep her secure when she is scared. Flora gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, making her a great addition to any family with furry friends. Though she’s still working on gaining confidence, she’s making steady progress every day and will thrive in a home that’s patient, understanding, and ready to support her as she grows more comfortable. When it’s time to wind down, Flora loves nothing more than cuddling up and giving sweet kisses – her affectionate nature will melt your heart. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will be your best friend and playmate, Flora is ready to meet you!
