Elmo is the 3rd dog that has been in his foster home for way too long! He was rescued from a southern shelter where he and his mother and siblings were set to be Euthanized in Sept of 2023. Its been almost 15 months since he was saved His mother two sisters and 3 brothers have all found homes. Now its his turn. Oscar weighs 45 pounds and will be 2 yrs old mid December. We believe Elmo might just have some Boxer mix in him. He was a bit timid in the beginning, but he has come around to trusting us at his foster home. He loves racing his brother Ernie when tossing toys, especially balls and knotted ropes and playing tug of war with him. Elmo currently weighs 40 pounds is neutered, tested negative for heartworms, up to date on all vaccines, and he has been on his monthly prevention for heartworms, flea, ticks and parasites.   Adoption Fee is $325 to help cover the cost of vetting, neuter, vaccines and preventatives as well as daily needs. Application must be submitted prior to being considered to adopt. Application can be found by going to our website at www.ffosk9resq.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.   November 29, 2024, 1:32 pm

Story
My name is Tymber, and I'm a charming brindle-boxer mix with a delightful curled tail. Although I'm on the smaller side for a boxer, my playful spirit shines through! I adore spending time with people, but unfortunately, I was abandoned by my previous owner. Thankfully, I found a kind soul who took me in and foster me until a spot opened up at Summit's. They got me neutered and updated on all my shots. I am now ready to spend my life with you!! Adoption fee $200 (chipped, fixed, updated on shots) Please visit our website www.summitssanctuary.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Dj is a 2 year old that looks like a Boxer/ Lab mix boy! His mother was rescued by animal control from an abuse situation and she had 8 beautiful puppies while in the pound when they were charging her owner. Mother and puppies were brought to the rescue as soon as they could be released from animal control and all are thriving! There mother is 30 lbs and looks like a bull terrier or shar pei mix because she has such a rounded face. Dj weighs about 45 lbs.  DJ is one of bigger pups and most laid back of the group. He loves to be right next to you. He is playful and loves to eat. Neither he or his siblings destroy durable toys but they will shred a sheet or tent.  He is not good with male dogs but is good with cats and kids. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $250. January 12, 2025, 10:34 pm
