Story
Meet Monster!Monster is a 4-year-old Boston Terrier with a big personality to match his 35-pound frame! Despite his name, this happy-go-lucky guy is nothing but a sweetheart.Surrendered to us when his owner’s situation changed, Monster is house-trained and ready to settle into a loving forever home. He’s full of playful energy and loves nothing more than tearing up toys you give him. While he barked at the cat in his previous home, he otherwise left her alone. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion with a big heart, Monster might be your perfect match!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.February 3, 2025, 10:44 pm

Story
Buddy a young male Boston Terrier with a lot of love to give. "Buddy is a sweet and gentle dog who is curious about the world around him. He can be a bit protective of his person. He is very smart and would love to bond with his new forever family learning basic commands and some basic manners class would really benefit him and his adopter. He is athletic, loves to go for daily walks 1-2 x per day. The dog park would not be for him as he is nervous around groups of dogs, requires a slow intro to new dog friends. Low key small dogs works for him. Securely, Fenced yard is required! If you are looking for an agility dog, he would be perfect! He is smart and wants to please. Great companion for someone who enjoys being active walking, currently walks 2-3x per day for up to 2 miles an outing and enjoys going hiking. Loves to ride in the car in his car seat. Buddy likes people-slow to warm up, but once he does he is very sweet once he gets to know you. He would do best in a quieter home without children would be best. Buddy would thrive with an easy going small dog to play with and build his confidence. He is loyal and would be a great companion~A person that works from home would be ideal, he would not do well being left for many hours on end. Looking for a family that can be patient and loving, that can commit to his training over time. He has been let down by his initial owner. We want Buddy to Live his Best Life!! He deserves it! ** For an application please reach out that is the first step for us to review- We require an excellent Veterinarian reference, a home visit and all of our Bostons are matched to the best possible home that will meet their needs. We thank you for your interest in Boston Terrier Rescue! Breed experienced adopter is required for Buddy. ( Boston, Frenchie, Bulldog)

Story
Hi, I’m Mabel! I’m six years old and weigh 21lbs. I’m most likely a bugg (a Boston terrier and pug mix) and that’s why I have my long curled tail. I lost my right eye a little while ago, but you wouldn’t know it by how I act — Except when I accidentally bump into things that are on my right side, oops! Because I only have one eye left, it’s super important that my eye is protected and taken care of. I’m not allowed to stick my head in bushes, and because I want to be near people all the time, you have to be careful you don’t run into me and bump my eye. I love taking walks, playing with my foster brother, getting belly rubs, and chasing squirrels. I’m very cheerful and get excited about pretty much everything. I can jump really high, but my foster mom says I can be excited and not jump, so I’m working on that. I love people, and I love some dogs. My foster brother is submissive and we get along great. I’d need a slow introduction to any new pets, but I am pretty adaptable! Because I still jump and want to lick all the time, I won’t be a good match for young children. Even with two walks a day, I'm still very excitable and active, so I’d need to go to a home where I can get my walks in and burn off some energy. I’m a great walking buddy! I love running around the yard and can be a bit impulsive so a securely fenced yard is required to keep me safe! Breed experience required. ( Have had boston, frenchie, pug before) Committed to excellent eye care for her only eye that remains- ie going to the opthamologist to maintain good vision and health of that eye. If you think you might be a match...The first step is to contact us and fill out an application. There are several steps to being approved. Application, Excellent Vet reference, phone interview, and home visit - We match our dogs with a family that is can meet the needs of each dog, thus providing success for the adopted dog, and the adoptive family.

Story
Welcome Pumpkin to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year old Boston Terrier/Lab or Cattle Dog is our best estimate. She has a rounded head with an upturned nose which has helped us come to this breed mix. She knows sit and will sit nicely for a treat. She likes treats and takes them nicely out of your hand. She likes toys and will give up her toy easily. She is good on leash even though she does pull some. She is very happy and really likes attention. She is good with the dogs that she has met at the shelter. She is also good in her kennel. She is an adorable dog and will make some lucky family a wonderful companion. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is vaccinated, spayed, healthy and ready for her forever home. She would be a great family companion and would be great with a moderately active family. She is active but will calm down and be relaxed after a small amount of activity. She in our opinion a perfect dog. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She moderately sheds and weighs about 40 pounds. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Please note that inquiries on this site are not monitored. To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit https://bulldoghavennw.org/apply/ Little Miss Peebles is a sweet and spirited young lady who, despite her challenges, radiates love and curiosity. She is approximately 3 years old and weighs a petite 17 pounds. Found as a stray and taken to a local shelter, she was discovered cuddling happily with her kennel-mate, showing her friendly nature towards other dogs. Even though she must be in considerable pain, Little Miss Peebles is full of energy and affection. She rode home nicely in the car and eagerly explored the park during a potty break. Her first afternoon at her foster home was spent exploring every nook and cranny and enthusiastically chewing on toys. She has a hearty appetite, having inhaled a large lunch and even managed to sneak some of her resident dog brother's dinner. After her adventures, she loves to cuddle and take naps with her foster mom. Little Miss Peebles needs some work on potty training and using the dog door. Besides her ears, she has some skin conditions that need attention and will need to be spayed. She has a long road ahead until she is medically cleared. During this time, she will be evaluated for compatibility with kids and other dogs. We'll also work on getting some weight on her and assessing her training needs.

Story
Please note that inquiries on this site are not monitored. To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit https://bulldoghavennw.org/apply/ Hi there! I'm Gigi (aka Jessica) , a sophisticated 7-year-old French Bulldog mix lady with a beautiful brindle coat. At a petite 30 lbs, I'm the perfect sized package of love and loyalty. Once I get to know you, I'm the ultimate companion - I'll follow you around the house like your own personal shadow and love nothing more than quality cuddle time (I'm a certified professional in the art of snuggling!). I'm proud to say I've mastered all my potty training and basic commands, especially when treats are involved (who doesn't love a little motivation?). Looking for a relationship that moves at a comfortable pace - I'm like a fine wine, I take time to warm up to new people, but I promise I'm worth the wait! I'm seeking someone who understands that good things come to those who are patient and willing to put in the effort. Full disclosure: I can be a bit protective of my loved ones, especially in the kitchen (what can I say, I'm a foodie at heart!), and I prefer to be the sole recipient of my human's attention when it comes to other four-legged friends. My ideal match would be an adult or family with older teens who can appreciate my mature personality. I'm looking for someone who enjoys peaceful walks (though I might get excited at first - enthusiasm is charming, right?), understands the value of personal space, and doesn't mind that I'm not big on sharing my toys (I know what I like!). A fenced yard would be fantastic for our one-on-one time. Warning: I will steal your heart with my dedicated following and endless affection - once you're in my inner circle, you're there for life! 💕
