Story
Buddy a young male Boston Terrier with a lot of love to give. "Buddy is a sweet and gentle dog who is curious about the world around him. He can be a bit protective of his person. He is very smart and would love to bond with his new forever family learning basic commands and some basic manners class would really benefit him and his adopter. He is athletic, loves to go for daily walks 1-2 x per day. The dog park would not be for him as he is nervous around groups of dogs, requires a slow intro to new dog friends. Low key small dogs works for him. Securely, Fenced yard is required! If you are looking for an agility dog, he would be perfect! He is smart and wants to please. Great companion for someone who enjoys being active walking, currently walks 2-3x per day for up to 2 miles an outing and enjoys going hiking. Loves to ride in the car in his car seat. Buddy likes people-slow to warm up, but once he does he is very sweet once he gets to know you. He would do best in a quieter home without children would be best. Buddy would thrive with an easy going small dog to play with and build his confidence. He is loyal and would be a great companion~A person that works from home would be ideal, he would not do well being left for many hours on end. Looking for a family that can be patient and loving, that can commit to his training over time. He has been let down by his initial owner. We want Buddy to Live his Best Life!! He deserves it! ** For an application please reach out that is the first step for us to review- We require an excellent Veterinarian reference, a home visit and all of our Bostons are matched to the best possible home that will meet their needs. We thank you for your interest in Boston Terrier Rescue! Breed experienced adopter is required for Buddy. ( Boston, Frenchie, Bulldog)

Story
Hi, I’m Mabel! I’m six years old and weigh 21lbs. I’m most likely a bugg (a Boston terrier and pug mix) and that’s why I have my long curled tail. I lost my right eye a little while ago, but you wouldn’t know it by how I act — Except when I accidentally bump into things that are on my right side, oops! Because I only have one eye left, it’s super important that my eye is protected and taken care of. I’m not allowed to stick my head in bushes, and because I want to be near people all the time, you have to be careful you don’t run into me and bump my eye. I love taking walks, playing with my foster brother, getting belly rubs, and chasing squirrels. I’m very cheerful and get excited about pretty much everything. I can jump really high, but my foster mom says I can be excited and not jump, so I’m working on that. I love people, and I love some dogs. My foster brother is submissive and we get along great. I’d need a slow introduction to any new pets, but I am pretty adaptable! Because I still jump and want to lick all the time, I won’t be a good match for young children. Even with two walks a day, I'm still very excitable and active, so I’d need to go to a home where I can get my walks in and burn off some energy. I’m a great walking buddy! I love running around the yard and can be a bit impulsive so a securely fenced yard is required to keep me safe! Breed experience required. ( Have had boston, frenchie, pug before) Committed to excellent eye care for her only eye that remains- ie going to the opthamologist to maintain good vision and health of that eye. If you think you might be a match...The first step is to contact us and fill out an application. There are several steps to being approved. Application, Excellent Vet reference, phone interview, and home visit - We match our dogs with a family that is can meet the needs of each dog, thus providing success for the adopted dog, and the adoptive family.

Story
Orchid is looking for her forever home! A natural comedian, Orchid’s playful antics bring joy and laughter to any room. Whether sliding down a hill, chasing water from a hose, or engaging in solitary play, she ensures a chuckle-worthy time! This independent gal gets along with other dogs and has done best with her male foster siblings who are laid back and willing to let her take charge. Orchid would also be happy being the only pet where she can hoard all the love for herself! Speaking of hoarding, this little dragon loves toys and won’t hesitate to add a stray toy to her collection! This sassy lassie isn’t afraid to tell it like it is and stand up for her beliefs! She has a variety of ways to communicate with you and most conversations with her leave you giggling! Orchid's adorable antics and vibrant spirit make her an incredibly rewarding companion. Orchid is a social butterfly, and enjoys meeting new people and going to new places! She’s great in the car and loves neighborhood strolls! Orchid will bond strongly with someone able to show her patience and structure. She’s not huge on snuggling her person, but everyone once in a while, she’ll crawl onto your lap and demand all your affection!  Orchid has food and environmental allergies that require her to be on a strict diet. Orchid is on daily medication, weekly baths, and twice monthly injections to help keep her skin healthy and itch-free. She also has a heart condition that she takes medication for, and needs a cardiology recheck yearly.  Orchid is 5 years old, weighs 47 pounds, and appears to be a Boston Terrier/Bulldog mix. This adorable, sassy, and funny girl instantly brightens up any room and she can’t wait to find her forever home! Orchid’s adoption fee is $450. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Orchid at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application See more photos of Orchid on her Facebook album! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.855419746627714&type=3 ##1207738##

Story
Meet Tito's Maple Mule! Maple is a sweet and loving girl who just needs a little time to come out of her shell. She may be shy at first, but once she warms up, she's an affectionate cuddle buy who would love nothing more than to curl up in your lap. Inside, she's all about snuggles, but outside, she's full of energy! Maple enjoys going on runs and jogs, making her a great companion for an active adopter. She's still figuring out the fun of toys and fetch, but she's showing the most interest in rubbery chew toys. She's both house trained and crate trained, and does well with small dogs. Her experience with larger dogs, cats, and children is unknown. With a little patience and love, Maple will blossom into the perfect mix of adventure buddy and cuddle companion. Could you be the one to give this shy sweetheart her forever home? Maple is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar. Meet Brown🧡 Brown was rescued from a slaughterhouse at a young age, together with his 4 siblings, including Tom and Klein. Meet Brown🧡 Brown was rescued from a slaughterhouse at a young age, together with his 4 siblings, including Tom and Kleon. * With People: Interacts well with people! Sniffs when a stranger approaches but feels awkward with touch and tends to move away. If there are treats, he will stay close, but without them, he still finds touch a bit strange. * With Dogs: Is not interested in other dogs and enjoys his alone time. 🐶 * With Cats: He gets overly excited when seeing cats, so it’s best to avoid encounters. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed as he resides with other dogs at the center. * Potty Training: Currently does only outdoor potty breaks at the center. * Hygiene: Is calm during baths. Though nervous and stiff during drying, he handles it well. Shows mild dislike during nail trimming but is never aggressive. Tolerates short brushing sessions. * Walks: Enjoys walking without any leash-pulling, keeping pace comfortably! 🐕 * Car sickness: He rests comfortably in the car without any signs of motion sickness. 💟Special Notes💟 * Feels more comfortable with a collar than a harness. * Is very independent. Loves his alone time and enjoys lying down to rest. ❗Health Condition ❗ * Neutered. * Microchipped. * His ear was bitten and torn by another dog at our center, and is now being treated.

Story
Meet Klein💚 Klein was rescued from a slaughterhouse in Jeongeup as a young puppy, along with her four siblings. The group was placed in Jeongeup Shelter, where they lived for about a year before being put on the euthanasia list. Fortunately, ADogs stepped in and rescued Klein and her siblings just in time. • With People: Klein is a gentle and sweet-natured dog, but she is a bit shy around new people. She doesn’t immediately approach strangers but wears an adorable smile and warms up over time. If you offer her a treat, she will quickly gain confidence and even show her affectionate side! • With Dogs: She gets along well with other dogs and had a great relationship with her siblings. At the shelter, she socializes easily and does well in group settings. • With Cats: She has never been introduced to cats, so her reaction is unknown. • Separation Anxiety: Since she currently lives in a shelter, it’s unclear if she experiences separation anxiety. She may need some training and adjustment when transitioning to a home. • Potty Training: She is used to outdoor potty training at the shelter and may need guidance when transitioning to an indoor environment. • Grooming & Handling: Klein is very easygoing and allows bathing, drying, and nail trimming without fuss! • Walking & Socialization: She loves going on walks and has been trained well at school, so she doesn’t pull on the leash. She enjoys exploring and is a polite walking companion. • Car Rides: She does not experience motion sickness and rests calmly in the car during travel.
