Story
Meet Miss Piggy, a pocket-sized bundle of joy with a big personality and even bigger energy! This playful girl is always ready for her next adventure, whether that’s zooming around the yard, showing off her silly side, or making sure all eyes are on her. Miss Piggy has proven to do very well on day trips outside the shelter. She rides well in the car, enjoys meeting new people and playing with all the toys you can provide. Miss Piggy brings the fun wherever she goes and has a natural talent for turning everyday moments into something exciting. When it comes to motivation, tasty treats are the key to Miss Piggy`s heart—and they’ve helped her start learning some pretty impressive tricks! She’s already working on sit, down, and paw, and loves showing off her skills for a yummy reward. With her playful spirit, eagerness to learn, and infectious enthusiasm, Miss Piggy is ready to bring nonstop smiles, laughter, and energy into your life.Miss Piggy is a staff favorite and some of the quotes from the shelter team include: `She’s got a flair for the dramatic, a strong opinion about which dogs make the ‘cool list,’ and a firm belief that only the fluffiest, most luxurious beds will do. Pink is absolutely her color, and diva is absolutely her vibe. But underneath all that sass is a tiny dog with a huge heart. Once she warms up, she melts into full-body wiggles, adores baby talk, and becomes an affectionate cuddle bug who’s happiest curled up in your lap or sitting beside you watching the sunset. She’s playful (and a little mischievous when it comes to giving toys back), full of personality, and 100% a girl’s girl.Miss Piggy isn’t just a dog—she’s an experience.”Miss Piggy is 2yr old, Female, Mixed Breed, Medium (under 44 lbs fully grown) mix. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations and preventions. Come and visit her today!Miss Piggy is eligible for a 3-day trial adoption through our Foster First program. This program gives you and our pets time to ensure it`s a great match before finalizing the adoption. If interested in fostering through our Foster First Program, come to our Earhart shelter location for a meet and greet and to sign up to be a foster. https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/

Story
Hi, I’m Petey. I’m a 10‑year‑old Boston boy weighing 35 pounds, with a big heart and an even bigger love for being close to my person. I’m what they call a certified love bug—I follow my foster around the house because being near my human makes me feel safe and happy. Snuggles are my specialty. I’m a quiet guy and never bark. I don’t play much with the other dogs, but I’m starting to get curious about toys… I’m still figuring out what all the fuss is about. I’m a perfect gentleman, still learning the ropes, and I try my very best every day. I’m trained on the potty pad, and I’m great on a leash. I enjoy going on walks and I’m amazing on them—steady, calm, and happy to trot right beside you. I’m good with kids, cats, and dogs, and I’d be a wonderful companion for a senior or anyone who wants a gentle, low‑energy buddy. I love peanut butter and bacon‑flavored treats, cozy naps, and being close enough to feel your warmth. What I’d really love is a home where life is a mix of chill and a little bit of adventure… and where someone wants snuggles all day long. If you’re looking for a sweet, quiet, loyal friend who will adore you with his whole heart, I’m your guy. My adoption fee is $100, but if you are a senior yourself (65+) my adoption fee is waived.   We are always looking for good foster homes. Hi there!  My name is Mickey, I’m about 6 years old and weigh 27 pounds.  I’m a smart, charming guy, and very focused!  My foster mom says I am very athletic and have a ton of personality, and so handsome… that makes my blush!  At this time my trainer feels it would be best for me to be an only dog.   I’m crate trained and leash trained.  I need a home without children, older teens may be okay. Must have a home with fenced yard, no apartment.  I am looking for an active owner or couple who will want to do lots of things with me but is also very patient and will continue my training.  My adoption fee is $150. Story
Hello there. My name is Murphy, and I am a 15-year-old lil boy who weighs 22 pounds. I am so lucky this wonderful rescue came and saved me; I did not grow up in a very nice environment. I am a particular little guy; I like to do things on my own terms. I do not like to be forced to do things which makes me upset and nip. I also do not like to share toys or food. I want to be the leader, so I need to be the only dog in the house. I am still learning how to be a dog and still working on my house training and my manners. I do have some hearing loss and need kidney care food because of my age. I absolutely love to be outside and play with stuffies. My ideal home would a person who can teach me manners and who is willing to help me be a better guy. My adoption fee is $100, but if you are a senior yourself (65+), my adoption fee is waived. Must be an only dog. No children. Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts! NOTE:  Hospice fosters have ongoing medical needs that will require care for the rest of their lives. While they remain available for adoption, we carefully screen potential homes to ensure their medical and special needs can be fully supported. BTRNT is committed to providing these dogs with a loving forever home—whether that is through adoption or as a permanent hospice foster within our rescue. We are always looking for good foster homes. Story
Hi, I’m Darcy — a 7‑year‑old, 21‑pound Boston Terrier with a soft heart, a big cuddle habit, and a story that’s still unfolding. I didn’t have the easiest start in life, but I’m learning every day what it feels like to be safe, loved, and understood. I’m a super sweet girl who absolutely adores water — the pool is my happy place. I’m also a world‑class snuggler who will melt right into you the moment I feel comfortable. I’m trained with the doggy door, I’m crate trained, and I’m great with kids — especially older, considerate ones who understand that I’m still building my confidence. When it comes to other dogs, I’m a bit selective. I do best with calm, submissive pups who won’t overwhelm me. I’m not good with cats, though — they’re just a little too tempting for me. I’m still working on my training, but I’m trying so hard. I just need a family with patience, kindness, and a willingness to help me keep learning. If you give me time, I’ll give you my whole heart. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly companion who’s ready for a fresh start and a lifetime of love, I think we could be perfect together. My adoption fee is $300  AVAILABLE EARLY MAY. Story
Hi, I’m Gatsby, a friendly and loving 12-year-old gentleman, around 45 lbs. I’m great with dogs and love to be around people. I’m always up for belly rubs, and if you stop petting me, I’ll paw at your hand to let you know I want more! Even at my age, I still get around great—jumping up on the couch without any issues, and I’m very active and spry for 10. I’m house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I enjoy spending time with my people and following the pack when they go outside. I do have some allergies, but they’re under control now. While I don’t love car rides, I do enjoy short walks, though I’m more of a relaxed guy most of the time. My ideal home would be one where I’m not left alone too much. A yard and a doggie door would be great, but more than anything, I want to be close to you! I’m the perfect couch potato companion. My adoption fee is $100, but if you are a senior yourself (65+) my adoption fee is waived.    We are always looking for good foster homes.
