Story
GIRLY is currently being fostered in HAMILTON, ONTARIO. Girly is apx 10 months old and 27.5 pounds. We believe she is a Boston terrier/bulldog/or frenchie mix. Frenchton? Girly is such a great dog. She will win your heart. Girly is wonderful with kids, cats and other dogs of all ages and sizes. She is more submissive with other dogs upon first meeting them. She walks well on leash, is potty trained and not barky. Girly is young and does need to work on a few things. She jumps on people when she is excited so she needs to learn “down”, “sit” and wait. She is a very cuddly loving dog and bonds quickly to her humans. Girly was an owner surrender and she was very sad upon first arriving at the ranch. She had a lot of feelings and can be emotional. She whined a bit for the first few days. She seemed very sad and depressed but it didn't take her long to get into a new routine and make new friends. Girly will bond hard and fast with her new family. She is a big baby. She loves sleeping right next to you and she does like to follow you around like a little shadow. You will never have to pee alone again. She is a very good girl and a fast learner. She just needs some positive reinforcement and lots of love. She is eager to please her humans and wants nothing more to be a part of the pack. She plays really well with all other animals and does not have a mean bone in her body. Girly was her original name so we kept it. She has met my dogs and even Cheals the two legged chi and she does great with everyone. She is fine with dogs big and small, young and old. She loves kids and is gentle with cats. She will need some basic 101 puppy training and you will have the perfect pooch. She really gets sad when alone so a family member that is home often or a home that has other animals for her to be with while you are away, would really be best for her. She would be very very sad kenneled up alone all day long. Girly does not chew or destroy anything and appears to be 100% potty trained. She has free reign around here and has been a perfect guest 🙂 To get approved please visit our website www.texaschihuahuarescuecanada.org to fill in an application to adopt. Story
Austin is an independent little guy! He enjoys playing ball, exploring the grass and going for long walks. He will be sure to love you forever if you give him lots of butt scratches. Austin came from a home where kids did not respect his space, therefore he can bite when he is resource guarding. He has been doing amazing with us but will need a home that is comfortable working through this and also allowing Austin to have lots of quiet time and a safe place. Ideally, Austin would do well in a quiet household with only adults.

🐶 Quick Facts 🐾 • Name: Mimi • Age: Estimated 5 years • Gender: Female • Spayed: Yes • Breed: Boston Terrier Mix • Color: Black & White • Weight: 8 kg • Microchip Number: 410100012485640 • Health Information • Vaccinations (latest): ◦ Comprehensive Vaccine: June 16, 2024 ◦ Coronavirus: June 16, 2024 ◦ Kennel Cough: June 16, 2024 ◦ Influenza: June 16, 2024 ◦ Rabies: June 16, 2024 • Heartworm Test: Negative as of July 20, 2024 • Heartworm Treatment: Previously diagnosed with Stage 2 heartworm (positive test March 18, 2023); treated with injections on March 25–26, 2023 🐕My Story🐕 Hello there! I’m Mimi, a friendly and lovable Boston Terrier mix looking for a warm and cozy forever home. Let me share a little bit about myself and my journey so far. I was once part of a bustling car wash, where my previous family left me behind. For a while, I roamed around, even raising a couple of litters with my best friend, a Jindo nearby. But now, I’m all about finding a stable home, and I’m ready to move on from my roaming days. 👨🏻My Social Side 🐕 With people, I’m a true social butterfly! I greet everyone with a wagging tail, and I love nothing more than cozying up for pets and cuddles. I warm up to new faces easily, and I’ll even roll over to show my belly if we’re friends. Children? Absolutely! I enjoy being around kids and love the extra attention they give me. When it comes to meeting new furry friends, I prefer to take it slow and steady. I’ve made progress since my rescue, and while I still need time to feel comfortable, I can get along well with dogs similar to my size or smaller. I just ask for a gentle introduction and a little patience. 🔋My Energy Level & Walks🚶 I’m pretty easygoing on walks and don’t pull on the leash, following your lead like a pro! I’ve got a curious spirit and enjoy outdoor adventures with moderate energy. After a fun outing, I’m more than happy to relax by your side, soaking up the quiet moments. And while I’m happy to share my food with people, I can be a bit protective around other dogs—it's best if I enjoy my meal in peace. I’m also a quiet girl and rarely bark, though I might make a little sound if I see someone new or if I’m hoping for something special. 💕More About Me😋 I’m adaptable with bathroom habits too—whether it’s indoor pads or outdoor strolls, I manage both like a champ. I know some basic commands like "sit," "wait," and "high five," and I’ll hop right into my kennel when it’s time to settle down. 💌Last Message💌 I’m hoping to find a family who’ll appreciate my gentle nature, my little quirks, and my love for people. If you’re looking for a small, sweet, and affectionate companion to brighten your days, I think we’d make a perfect match.
