Meet the best boy, Cooper!Cooper may be young but he's learned a lot in the last few months. He is potty and crate trained. He even sleeps through the night without a peep. Cooper has done well with all the kids and dogs he's met as well. He is appropriately playful with other dogs. This handsome boy is social, outgoing, playful, curious, affectionate and a couch potato! Cooper's favorite hobbies are getting out all his toys and chewing on them, taking walks and getting his sniffs in around the yard, and finally snuggling in next to his people for a good upside down nap. All Cooper needs now is a family looking for a goofy, playful pup who will love you forever. If you would like to meet Cooper, please visit www.spotsrescue.org and fill out an application.

Story
Charlotte Good with dogs, & kids. NO CATS. Great in kennel. Cautious in beginning with men but once comfortable, very loving. She is still very much getting comfortable with surroundings and will NOT walk on leash so will need a yard while she gets trained. She needs an adopter with patience as she is easily spooked. Charlotte came to the rescue with a broken leg and was pregnant. She was likely hit by a car as her uterus had ruptured and had to be spayed immediately. She has a strong and very sweet spirit and will make someone's family complete. She LOVES kids and is good with other dogs. She has come very far with me in the short time she has been here so I know she will only gain more trust as time goes on. We have no idea what kind of situation she came from other than neglectful, so lets find her the BEST home!! Only the best need apply :) ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!! HER LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $500 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $800 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Welcome Pumpkin to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year old Boston Terrier/Lab or Cattle Dog is our best estimate. She has a rounded head with an upturned nose which has helped us come to this breed mix. She knows sit and will sit nicely for a treat. She likes treats and takes them nicely out of your hand. She likes toys and will give up her toy easily. She is good on leash even though she does pull some. She is very happy and really likes attention. She is good with the dogs that she has met at the shelter. She is also good in her kennel. She is an adorable dog and will make some lucky family a wonderful companion. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is vaccinated, spayed, healthy and ready for her forever home. She would be a great family companion and would be great with a moderately active family. She is active but will calm down and be relaxed after a small amount of activity. She in our opinion a perfect dog. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She moderately sheds and weighs about 40 pounds. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Ollie is a half English half French bulldog that is almost 7 years old. He is very sweet and loves to be with people. He would be best without other animals, as he has a lot of energy around them. He can be aggressive around people he does not know and is protective of his owners. He would benefit from a fenced in yard with a higher fence, as he tries to get over the fence. He would also be best without little kids, as he has a lot of energy around them too. He would do best in a home with fewer people and someone who is home with him for most of the day.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Roman (aka Roaming Roman, or Rome) and I'm a fawn colored stout pug with a date of birth est. of December 13, 2022 (2yo).    I was recently rescued by Wags & Whiskers by means of a breeder release. During the first couple years of my life, if I wasn't otherwise producing more pugs, I'm believed to have spent many hours in confined quarters or a kennel and have had minimal socialization and exposure to environments and people.     As you can see in one of my photos where I'm sitting in a vehicle, this was the day I was rescued. You can see in my body language and eyes that I was incredibly scared and nervous. Within only a couple of weeks, however, being in a foster home with people who have shown me love and a safe environment, I've been able to rapidly open up in my personality, wag my tail, run around with kids, and meet and play with other dogs and people.   Typical for a pug, after I've become accustomed to my surroundings, I can be very mischievous and roam around the house (hence the name "Roaming Roman"). I'm just making up for lost time exploring new smells and objects. If I'm not roaming around, I enjoy having a bed to sit in as my "safe place" while I observe my surroundings or watch what people are doing. If you're someone who I've bonded with, I may follow you around the house like a magnet and be right behind your feet (so careful to make a sudden movement turning around, as I'm likely right there).     I love chewing on bones and stuffed animals (as you can see in one of my photos, I may even fall asleep chewing on one) and if there are not enough of these for me, I'll find a sock or something laying around. I love going on walks and running where I get to show how muscular and healthy I am as a young pug.    While some dogs who have come from a breeder lifestyle may not be potty trained, I'm actually fairly good at it. I don't know how to tell you yet that I have to go outside, but if you keep me on a reasonable schedule, I'll generally ensure that I only do my business outside and I can go all night in my crate as well. When I am outside, due to distractions with new sounds and smells, I may need a little bit of time, but I'll do both if you're patient.    A couple unique personality traits about me:  I love to lick things...whether it's your clothes, the arm of the couch, or the front of the refrigerator. I can't explain this, I'm just exploring my senses. I also like to take a mouthful of food out of my dish, drop it on the floor, and eat them piece by piece. I'm also not motivated by treats...I likely haven't had them until now, so I generally will just play with them if I don't eat them.      Whoever adopts me should be aware that although I'm fantastic in a crate, am fairly good with going outside, rarely bark, and otherwise just love hanging out if I'm not roaming around, I have had zero training in basic commands such as "come", "sit", "stay", "outside", etc. I seem to clearly know my name, but many of those basic commands result in me just giving you the pug puppy eyes stare and not computing what you're asking me to do.    If you're interested in meeting me, please fill out an application. While some may spend far more to acquire a pug from a breeder directly, adopting me through Wags & Whiskers is a sweet deal, you get to save a dog's life, and what can I say...I'm a pretty awesome pug.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Lucy is approx 6.5 yrs old and 28#. As you can see, she's a beautiful brindle. She's as sweet as she is cute. It sounds like all 6 of her years were spent having litter after litter of puppies and all she wants is a pack of her own! She is not potty trained. I guess 6 years of "going" wherever is convenient is a hard habit to break. I know if she had a fenced yard, she'd catch on quick. I should mention she has not mastered stairs. One or two steps is fine, but she's not very sure of herself going up or down.   If you're looking for a beautiful Frenchie girl who wants to be a lap dog, you've come to the right profile! Lucy loves attention, but she will also go and lay down by herself or keep herself company by looking at her reflection.    She loves every dog and every human. When she gets amped up there's nothing more joyful than watching her play! Even when her foster brother nipped at her the first week, she still wanted him to be her friend. He finally caved after a week or so :).    She's not great on a leash. She will stop right at the threshold of a door deciding if and when she wants to move. Lol. But once outside, what fun! She loves to run and romp!   Lucy would do well in any active, loving home. Another fur friend would be perfect for her but a human with a heart and a lap will do just fine.    Just say I Love Lucy and send in an application and I'll work with your schedule to meet up. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal?
