Story
Gentle, affectionate 35-lb young dog ready to discover life as someone’s beloved companion. Maura is just over a year old and was found with her siblings on a farm in rural Virginia. Having grown up outside, everyday household life is still new to her—stairs, vacuum cleaners, and the normal rhythms of a home. She isn’t afraid of the world—she simply hasn’t experienced it yet. Maura is an incredibly sweet, soft-natured, affectionate girl who loves people. She’s just beginning to discover that petting and attention are wonderful things, and her confidence grows more each day in foster care. She does beautifully with other dogs, has been around cats, and has been gentle with children. A calm canine companion could help guide her as she continues learning about the world. Before rescue, Maura had puppies in a hay barn. Sadly none survived, but despite that difficult start she remains trusting, loving, and incredibly kind. She doesn’t need a perfect home—just a patient one willing to show her how loved dogs live. In return, you’ll gain a loyal and deeply devoted companion. 35 lbs • about 1 year old • good with dogs, cats, and kids Maura is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Otey is such a deserving little guy. He lost his human and is very sad. He is thriving though in his foster home but he keeps looking up at you saying when can I have a family of my own. This sweetheart is affectionate, intelligent, extremely loyal and would make the best family pet ever. He's very healthy, and ready to go to a new home text 276494-6718

Story
Greta Gremlin is the BEST grumpy looking hugger you will ever meet! Her long legs are always reaching out to you hoping to get picked up or at least some really good petting. She is soulful as she stares into your eyes, hoping for some warm gentle time with you. Add in another playful dog (she lives Rigby the weiner dog in the same rescue/foster home) and she can flyyyy around the room, carry toys and tennis balls for play, steal food like a lurking lion and then scream like a banshee when she gets caught 🤣🤣🤣. She is quite the fun personality! She is a burrowerer and you have to see which pile of blankets moves when you call her name to look for her. She snuggles tight against you all night looking for maximal cuddles and warmth. She was found in the country, had been living in a field for at least a week near a construction site for a house. It was February and the temperatures were in the 20s and 30s and needless to say she really had to fight to survive. She is mouthy in play and young enough that her teeth are still sharp so not recommending her for small children or older people with thinner skin. She loves to give a chin nibble when you go to give her a kiss. She would eat a 40 pound bag of food if you let her 😬. Estimated 3 years old. 📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. • Rescue Story: Meet Moana👋🏻 She was found wandering the streets of Paju, South Korea in 2022. She ended up at a high-kill shelter but was thankfully rescued just in time. Since then, she’s been living in a private shelter with many other dogs, charming everyone with her affectionate personality. Now, she’s ready to find a forever family of her own! • Personality: Affectionate, Friendly, Goofy Moana is truly one of a kind. She quickly won the hearts of volunteers with her gentle, loving nature. She follows people around like a little shadow, happily greeting everyone—even strangers—with tail wags and affection. Moana thrives on human interaction and loves tug-of-war, belly rubs, and being the center of attention. Her energy level is moderate, making her a great balance of playful and calm. • Affinity with - Dogs: Moana is incredibly social—not just with people, but with dogs, too. She’s often the first to welcome new arrivals at the shelter, helping them feel safe and at ease. While she would thrive as the only dog in the home, Moana also does best with calm dog companions. - Cats: Not tested with cats - Adults/Kids: Great with adults / She hasn’t been tested with cats or kids, but based on her gentle demeanor, we believe she’d do well with respectful children. • Walking Manners: Moana has also started practicing her leash skills and is doing great! She may pull a little at times, but overall, she walks well and is eager to please. • Housetrained: As she’s lived in a shelter, Moana will need some house-training in a home setting. • Bathing/Brushing: She’s tolerant of baths and grooming. • Car Sickness: She’s curious and alert during car rides, taking in the world around her. • Separation Anxiety: Zero. • Barks/Howls: Very quiet • Appetite/Food Allergies: Eats well. No food allergies found so far. • Shedding level (1~10): 5 • Likes/Dislikes: She loves affection & treats! • Health: Moana finished her heartworm treatment in Oct 2024 and is in great health. She underwent successful surgery for an inguinal hernia in Mar 2025 and has fully recovered. She has a clean bill of health and is ready for her new adventure! (Her two front bottom teeth are missing) 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Story
Introducing, Rooster! Rooster is 3 years old and 15 lbs. He was found as a stray and sadly no one came looking for him. Rooster has been spending time in an awesome foster home. His foster mom reports: "Rooster (who we lovingly call Roo or RooRoo- he is picking up on his name) is a chi-mix through and through. Roo completely bonds with his owner and is ready for his forever person to cuddle with, play with, and protect. He is a feisty little guy with other dogs out and about and takes a while to warm up to new people, but once he decides you are his person, he will be by your side (or on your lap) as often as possible. I’ve had the privilege of being his temporary chosen person and he has given me so much love in return. He sits on my lap all day while I work, with some potty and play breaks of course. Roo is house-trained, and benefits from a consistent walk schedule. He would love to come with you to work or work from home with you! He does well with my dog and cats, even when his jealousy comes out and he places himself right in between me and them. He takes a bit to warm up and trust other creatures/humans, but if you give him the time, you will have a forever best friend." Interested in learning more about Rooster? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt. *Rooster is neutered, up to date on vaccines, was given dewormer and monthly preventatives, and is microchipped.
