Mixer-Boston Terrier/Terrier male, ~ 1 yr. (July 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Mixer came to Rescue from a high kill big city shelter. He was on the list to lose his life to euthanasia the next day. This was happening only because the shelter is way overwhelmed with dogs needing homes. Mixer went into a rescue foster home and has proved to be an excellent dog. He's about 30#, full of intelligence and life. He plays well with the other foster dogs, loves to babysit the litter of foster puppies; they are about 10 weeks old. He loves to play fetch and he loves the water. Best of all, he loves people and wants to interact with his humans. Mixer's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Once approved, we will contact you to arrange a meeting at our next Meet and Greet event. Our pets are fostered in private homes and will be brought to Frederick, MD to meet approved adopters. Hi my name is Murphy. My foster mom Rachel added the marvelous because that is exactly what I am. I am 2 years old and I weigh 37 lbs. Rachel first met me as a little puppy adopted by one of her friends. My mom soon decided that she did not want me. This began a period of bouncing around for me and unfortunately I ended up in the local shelter. Rachel happened to be on their Facebook page and was so upset to see a familiar face. She immediately called Critter Cavalry and I am now safe and sound with her under their care. I am so relieved to have a familiar face to look to for guidance. I truly am a marvelous boy. Despite all the bouncing around I am an even keal kinda guy. I love people and am great with the two bigger and older resident dogs. I also love my 3 year old human foster brother. I let him pet and hug on me and patiently accept his affection. I am not a licky dog. I stand or sit there and enjoy the attention. I soak up all the human attention I can get. I am housebroken, ride well in the car and walk well on a leash. I am learning some commands. My foster dad is currently working on sit. As soon as I get that I will learn more. I am very food motivated and love all the treats that come with training. I am not learning too fast on purpose!!! But I promise to give in soon. I enjoy the one on one attention when he is teaching me things. According to Rachel and my original mom I am a Boston Terrier/Beagle mix. Don't see it well neither does Miss Vivienne so who knows?! What is most important is that I am sweet, smart and will be an EXCELLENT family dog. I am working on my crate training. That is going a bit slowly as I am not a fan and am a bit scared in the crate. I definitely do not like being in there when I am alone but know I need to learn. What is important is that I am willing to learn and am a sweet boy. If you are looking for a great family dog then you have found him. I have been neutered, am current on all my shots, heartworm negative, microchipped and on preventative. Zeus is a10 year-old Brindle Boston mix, 33 pounds of muscle, with a gentle mouth; he's a very loving guy who loves to play with dogs his size. He's a bit energetic for smaller dogs, but played with our 10# puppy every day. Zeus would love to have a 6 foot fenced yard with room to run and play; he used to jump our 4 foot fence. Oliver enjoys daily walks and play time in the backyard. Oliver is a happy boy who enjoys doggie toys and gets the evening zoomies. Oliver is good with other dogs and will need another playful dog in his forever home. Oliver is NOT good with cats. Oliver is not in a foster home with children, but we feel he would do well with children 5 years and up. Bandit, came to us along with Buddy and Hershey because their owner had stage 4 lung cancer and could no longer care for them. She's super scared and sweet and you just want to help her. The man kept these dogs in crates for seven years. Everything is over stimulation for her. Overall she’s doing very well considering her entire world has been erased and there's so much around new to get used to. She is very very sweet. I believe she’s half bull dog—she has the bull dog snort. She weighs 38 lbs. She lived with other dogs in her life ---both males and females and she lived another male and a cat in her foster home. At first she wasn’t overly friendly with the dogs here but has adjusted after a slow introduction. Bandit is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped. She is also housetrained.
