Not able to keep him due to health issues. He is very playful but can be nippy. Since he has been mostly inside the house and we never took him to dog parks, dog care or playdates with any dog, I am not sure how he is socially. He can be growly, that's what his groomer said. I been taking him to the same groomer for 6 years now. Couple years ago, he had some discloation around his spine probably because of jumping down from a sofa. Vet advised that since he is so small, he should not be jumping from height. He recovered on his own by taking rest and couple medications prescribed by the Vet. He was in crate at night only for 5 years, but not lately. When we got him as a puppy at 2 months, he had some dietary issues. Eventually, we figured out the food that works for him and had no issues since then.

We Need Great Foster Homes for our KidsWe are a large Boston Terrier Rescue serving the entire Southeastern United States. We have many Bostons, Boston mixes, and others surrendered to us every year because of many different reasons. Some are young, some older, some seniors, but very few are pups. Our rescue will never turn away any Boston regardless of their age, health problems or behavior issues. Edward “Eddie” Elmer is an older Boston Terrier, but does not exactly act his age. He loves a good game of tug of war with stuffed animals and can be a goof ball at times. Eddie is an independent lover boy. He loves to be outside but also enjoys a good scratch on the back. He likes to be in charge at times and needs someone that will continue calm, consistent leadership and make sure he knows he is not the boss. Eddie does not require a lot of attention and he’s typically content laying on the floor beside you. Zizou (pronounced Zee-Zoo) came to us as an owner surrender. He's an incredibly sweet boy that gets along with everyone and everything! Zizou is such an easy-going pup and loves to be by your side at all times. Whether cuddling with you on the couch or by your feet working at home. He'll let you know when he needs to go outside (pawing at you) and knows how to use the doggie door. Zizou loves to play with squeaky toys and tennis balls. And LOVES walks! Once he knows the lay of the land he gets around just fine, even with cataracts. But Zizou will need help getting up and down long staircases for his safety but small steps are ok.
