Story
FOHA DOGS NEED YOU!!! Friends of Homeless Animals saves many dogs, sadly some are un-adoptable due to health or temperament. These dogs are safe in fostercare and will live out their lives safe and loved.   Please see all of our needy dogs & their stories at:  http://fohari.org/virtual-adoptions/#sthash.uUZaHnal.dpbs    Click on the donate button to make a donation below or on our website: WWW.FOHARI.ORG https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_flow&SESSION=s_rzfxkrOz1k3UQ9SnF41ng9fiePbbcNM3-FRwhi8bjTdXc8YpJ1GEGHPGe&dispatch=5885d80a13c0db1f8e263663d3faee8d333dc9aadeed3fe0b5b299d55fd35542Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc. Story
Marco is a wonderful and beautiful asset to any family. He’s kind, loving, enjoys affection and attention, and loves outdoors, as well as in. Very kid, friendly non-violent. Unfortunately, we’re not experienced in training dogs, so he still occasionally uses the bathroom inside the house, if not walked consistently. He also needs a leash while being walked. He’s very happy, healthy, athletic, and well taken care of. We’re moving soon, so unfortunately, he cannot come along. His birthday is February 19 and he was born 2019.

Story
Charlotte Good with dogs, cats, kids. Great in kennel. Cautious in beginning with men but once comfortable, very loving. She is still very much getting comfortable with surroundings and will NOT walk on leash so will need a yard while she gets trained. She needs an adopter with patience as she is easily spooked. Charlotte came to the rescue with a broken leg and was pregnant. She was likely hit by a car as her uterus had ruptured and had to be spayed immediately. She has a strong and very sweet spirit and will make someone's family complete. She LOVES kids and is good with other dogs. She has come very far with me in the short time she has been here so I know she will only gain more trust as time goes on. We have no idea what kind of situation she came from other than neglectful, so lets find her the BEST home!! Only the best need apply :) ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!! HER LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $500 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $800 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sedona is a resilient puppy with a zest for life. Rescued from Palm Valley Animal Shelter in Edinburg, Texas, Sedona faced a tough start when she came down with parvo just two days after her arrival at A Doggie 4 You. With excellent care and a fighting spirit, she made a remarkable recovery and is now looking for her forever home. This adorable Boston Terrier/Husky mix has a playful personality that shines through in everything she does. Sedona has three siblings who she loves to wrestle and play tug-of-war with, making playtime a fun-filled adventure. She enjoys meeting new friends, both human and furry, and has a special fondness for toys of all kinds.   Sedona is super smart.  She works for treats and learned how to walk on a leash quickly.  She is eager to learn  new things.  She is already sitting for treats and will great in a home that can provide continued training to take her to the next level.
