Story
Meet Sam – Your Perfect Senior Sidekick! 🐾 Looking for a laid-back, lovable companion who’s got a little extra love to give (literally)? Meet Sam, an 8.5-year-old Boston Terrier with a heart as big as his adorable, pudgy belly! At 29 lbs, Sam is carrying a few extra pounds and would love a home that can help him on his journey to a healthier weight—with gentle exercise, portion control, and lots of encouragement (aka belly rubs). Sam is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and an all-around good boy. He gets along great with dogs and cats, making him a fantastic fit for a multi-pet household. Whether it's lounging by your side, going for a stroll, or simply keeping you company, Sam is ready to be your best friend for his golden years. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. **PLEASE NOTE**. If you're truly interested in adopting Sam please be sure to submit the Farfel's Rescue adoption application that can be found at the link above or at farfels.com. Rescue site applications such as Petfinder or Adoptapet don't provide enough information for us to determine a great match for this very deserving dog and therefore aren't useful. We're sorry, but in many circumstances, we're unable to get back to those those that don't submit a Farfel's adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue!

Story
If you're searching for a devoted and loving best friend, Max is the guy you want to have around! Max, at just about 7 - 8 years old and 30 lbs is just naturally a lover. When he looks at you with those dark expressive eyes and sweet smile, your heart just can't help but melt. Max is a beautiful 7 - 8 year old, 30 lb purebred Boston Terrier. We believe that sweet Max had poor nutrition in his life and too much of it. It's important that this guy be put on a limited diet with green beans. This food protocol will result in weight loss and a svelte and happy Max. Max's breed identification was made by Texas vets. The only thing we're certain of is that this engaging guy is irresistible! He has all the endearing Boston Terrier traits that make these super- smart and personality-plus dogs very popular breed mixes for families and individuals searching for loving and loyal best friends. Max has all the potential in the world for a stunning coat that speaks of his breed. Unfortunately, it has been compromised by the harsh conditions of the shelter. It's with excellent nutrition, sudsy baths / brushing and pure love that Max's coat will return to the stunning coat that's consistent with his breed. Max may be initially shy or frightened when he arrives on transport in Colorado. With time, kindness and yummy treats, this sweetheart will come out of his shell. We know that this sweetie-pie enjoys his time with his foster family tremendously. His favorite times of day are the times spent together. With a bit of time, attention and nurturing, Max became a snuggler, and ultimately a best friend. His foster is very clear that this gorgeous guy is over the top sweet, perhaps a bit shy initially and once comfortable, loves his family with every bit of his huge heart! Texas rescuers had the following to brag about sweet Max: Meet the irresistible Max. He's a gorgeous, very affectionate, and engaging dog who is searching for his forever home. He's a sweet and very smart pup who knows basic obedience and is a very friendly snuggler with all people (and dogs & cats) who are kind to him. This sweet Boston is so gentle and also funny, silly and playful. He's great with other dogs and cats and loves making new four-legged as well as two-legged friends. Max will be absolutely stunning when he gets a sudsy bath and brushing. He's between 7 and 8 years old and as loving as can be. He really stands out due to not only his beauty but his sweetness and excellent behavior. He is a super-smart and well-behaved dog who would be perfect for an individual or family searching for an irresistible family member. Max is sweet as can be, is loyal, loving, and wonderful. I can picture him hiking the trails of Colorado and then at end of day falling asleep on the couch surrounded by his family. Our sweet Max is a very kind and gentle dog who has never had a loving and responsible home to call his own. A dog-crazy family (another gentle dog to hang out with would be a plus) would be great fun for the social Max. He will have so much fun exploring and taking long walks beside his people. He's always open to new and fun activities with a never-ending positive attitude. Just say the word and up Max will jump for a car ride, a fun hike or just a sociable walk around the neighborhood. Max (once comfortable in his new environment) is a loving, silly and fun pup! We would love to see him in a home with a family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and loving dog. We'd hate to see Max left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. We think he's too sensitive for that. A family that works from a home-based office is a great choice for our sweet Max. Farfel's is currently searching for a loving, nurturing and committed family for our wonderful Max. Applications are being accepted and can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** Farfel's Rescue makes great efforts to place our dogs with families that are excellent matches. We do this through our Farfel's Rescue application found at the link above or at farfels.com (never through rescue site apps such as Adoptapet or Petfinder as they don't provide enough information). If you're truly interested in adopting Max please be sure to fill out the Farfel's Rescue adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving guy. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit a Farfel's Rescue application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
Meet Pablo, a 2-year-old Boston Terrier with a heart of gold just waiting to shine once he trusts you. Pablo came in with Rocky, the Doodle, after their owners could no longer care for them, and they’re still awaiting dog tests. Cats are unknown at this time, but what we do know is that Pablo is a little shy at first, likely due to his past, but once he bonds with you, his wiggly, joyful nature is the absolute best sight to see. This sweet boy may need some time to feel comfortable, but once you earn his trust, you’ll be rewarded with endless tail wags and affection. If you’re looking for a loyal, shy boy who will warm your heart once he opens up, Pablo could be the perfect fit for your home!   Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com   ##2288594##
