Story
Hi, I'm Baker! I was once a scared little pup, lost and alone on the side of a busy Las Vegas road. But lucky for me, kind people found me and brought me to safety. Now, I'm looking for my forever home, a place where I can feel loved and protected. I'm a 1-year-old mix, full of love and energy. I love snuggling up with my blanket and giving lots of cuddles. I'm a quick learner and already know how to go potty outside. I'm excited to learn about leashes and toys and explore the world with my new family. Ready to give me a forever home? Inquire about me today! We are also willing to transport him from Las Vegas to CA if needed. Please contact Rob robrhee@me.com 619-818-0754November 4, 2024, 4:09 pm

Story
Henry is very energetic. spend all day running around trying to catch a fly or any bug he can find.. He never peed in the house until we had our daughter. Then he started peeing on all her things. He needs a retraining. Very smart, and follows a few commands like sit, stay, out of the kitchen, off the couch. We got Henry thinking our older Boston needed a brother. We leave them together in our yard when we leave the house and they’re fine all day for the most part, but lately our older Boston has been getting aggressive towards Henry and we are at the point with a. Child we can’t risk a fight and hope to find Henry a better situation and calm our older dog as well. Ideally he should go to a home with no other dogs and to someone willing to put in a little time to train him. He is super loveable and loves cuddling under a blanket or bed covers. We are truly sad to make this decision but just aren’t able to give him the time he needs and deserves.

Story
Ares is a 4 year old boston terrier that I acquired from an uncle. He is very energetic, loves to play and run and he is very easy to love. One important detail about Ares is that he is deaf. To him and I that hasn't been an issue while having him. I got to learn his needs and so, but it did meant I was not able to train him since I was unaware on how to. I am looking for a new family that won't mind him being deaf, as well as one that would provide him with a better life quality than the one I am giving him.

Story
The girl with the winning smile! Hey guys! I am Sussie, Sussie Q. I am a 4 years old, female Pug mix, spayed and about 11 lbs. Heard of the Chandler 55 case? Yes, I am a part of the disabled hoarded dog pack that was rescued from the monster house. With my sweet spirit and smile, you’d never guess what I have gone through. But only when you see my vet report! It’s manageable I pawmise. I have Congenital Angular front limb deformity and Chronic orthopedic condition that affects mobility in hind legs that may have been caused by soft tissue injury that has healed. I have started a monthly injection of Librela (Cost depends on established vet pricing and dosage, ~$100-$200). It is the first and only monthly anti-NGF Monoclonal antibody injection to help control pain for canines with Osteoarthritis. At this time, my foster mom states that the Librela is working. As long as I am being medically managed for mobility issues no surgery is necessary, but will not know know more until later. Surgery will be my adopter's financial responsibility if it is determined it is needed later by our future established vet. Regarding my training, I am leash trained for the 5-10 min walks I take due to leg deformities. The stroller with a soft blankie is my friend! I am pee pad trained. I am not crate trained. Now coming to my personality, the best part! My mama says that I am an absolute perfection! I love playing with dogs and toys, chewing on bones and sometimes your stuff haha but being all cute about it! I am a lap dog and you'd love my snuggles. If I could climb up on your shoulders and into your skin, I would do it! We can be best mates watching tv, all cuddling and being adorable. I am quite fond of dogs, but big ones are scarier and need warming up time. I haven't met cats yet, but I think I will be fine. what, how do I even chase them?! I am very good with kids! I do get separation anxiety where I get anxious and scream, but having another dog completely calms me. I am obviously not a hiking dog, but I do make a good cafe date in my stroller. I am always grateful for my rescue and leaving behind that house of horrors. I do a lil dance when I get a new soft blanket and my zeal is infectious. I am the absolutely cutest little nugget that everyone falls in love with when they meet. I am looking for only the best home that will spoil me rotten because that is what this little princess deserves. If there are no dogs in the home I will need humans around for companionship. Any DINK couple around that likes to bring their dog everywhere with them? I am looking for a home with the best chew bones, softest blankets, and good sunbathing spots. If you think you have that X-factor, let's go get a drink together! My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. I dont have experience with cats and kids but I think I'll be good! This mama is a sweet, young lady who deserves the world! I can play, chill, cuddle and just be adorable. ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Are you an experienced bulldog owner looking for a young, energetic, speed walking Frenchie and ready to take on a vocal, mouthy little boy? Take a look at Zeus. Zeus is 2 1/2 years old, 31 pound bully, with a fawn coat and mesmerizing green eyes.  He is a gem of a Frenchie.  He loves to walk, and once he knows the way home, speeds up when you are headed back to his treats.  He loves to play with squeaky toys and when you throw, he gets it and plays keep away until you can get it and throw it again.  He is an excellent eater but needs additional remedial instruction on NOT begging or jumping up for your meal.  Zeus sleeps through the night after a 10 pm potty break and when you take him out in the morning does his business in two stops with a short walk in between.  He is used to being taken out to potty so does not self initiate bathroom breaks so you need to either take him out yourself or continue to work on training him to take himself out.  He is NOT leash aggressive toward other dogs or people and not food protective.  He would do best as your one and only – he is truly a great companion dog.  He is fostered with two female dogs who he torments endlessly with his energy and attention seeking behavior.  He walks long walks twice a day – early morning and right before dinner. Zeus needs to be the only dog in the home, in a kid free home, needs a yard and must be adopted to someone who has bulldog experience.  If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.   LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY (San Diego).  Zeus is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.  His adoption fee is $300.  An interview and home visit are absolutely required. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to  www.secondchancedogrescue.org  and complete an application today!    All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.  January 28, 2025, 9:42 am
