Story

Very sweet and gentle dog, afraid of the world and highly anxious. She’s been diagnosed with global anxiety disorder which is a severe disorder that prevents her from going on walks or leaving the house. She is suffering in a city apartment, the noise is just too much for her. She is scared to go outside and scared of the noise in the apartment above us. She spends much of her time hiding under the bed. She deserves better quality of life. I unfortunately reached the heartbreaking conclusion that she needs a different environment. She loves other dogs and needs a backyard to get playtime and exposure to the outdoors. I just can’t offer her that in the city so looking for a very quiet home with a fenced in yard with grass and another dog. She is 3 years old.

*** Courtesy Posting *** Bergy joined us from the Jurupa Valley Animal Shelter in early March 2024. She caught our eye because she was incredibly underweight and seemed lonely. We pulled her after learning her time in the shelter was limited. This beautiful, sweet little girl is microchipped, fully vaccinated and will be spayed prior to adoption. She is now at a healthy weight of 28 pounds. Bergy is estimated to be approximately 2 years old and guessed to be a terrier mixed breed, perhaps Boston Terrier. She bonded quickly with the four dogs in her foster home, as well as 10-year twin children. She especially likes playing chase around in the yard with another dog and plays tug of war with ropes and other stuffed dog toys. Bergy does well being in her crate when left alone in the house and sleeps quietly in her crate in a separate room during the night. Bergy is accustomed to being inside and is housebroken (of course she will need to learn the rules at your house.) Bergy enjoys walks and sniffs along the way, Bergy would benefit from leash training to learn not to pull, as well as enforce basic commands such as heel, sit, down, stay, etc... Being a terrier, she is also highly prey driven and loves to chase animals such as lizards and birds. It is unknown how she will react to cats. Bergy’s goals in life are to be cuddled, loved and play. Every morning when her foster mom takes her out of her crate for breakfast Bergy throws both paws on her mom’s shoulders and kisses face. She is a sweet dog and will be a loving devoted companion to a lucky family. Bergy is an alpha female and needs to be in a home with a dog that will be submissive to her or as an only dog. While she seems to be fine sharing toys and treats, she is protective of her food and should eat in her own area if there is another dog around. Bergy Is being fostered in Temecula California. Her foster parents are willing to travel to the Bay Area for potential adopters to meet Bergy. Meet Queenie! The belle of the ball or the Queen of Hip Hop more appropriately! She certainly hops up on anything, and she is a Hipster for sure! This is a party girl! She is a rough and tumble in your face player with other dogs, she would love running around and playing keep away and such with older kids, she is quick and agile! She does settle down and is crate trained which helps, but this girl certainly thrives on play and activity, she is game for anything and everything! Her recall is decent, she is ready for hiking, trails, trips to the beach, anywhere where her happy in your face attitude is welcome! She is the center of her universe and wants all others to join around her and have FUN! Queenie can handle a lot for her small size and big personality, she is fearless and ready for whatever the world or whatever sized ball is thrown at her! If you want an active companion but need to keep the size down, this is your girl! Kids over 5 years, teenagers, or active fun-loving adults - all good for Queenie - and other dogs too! A yard is highly recommended!

CASSIE, and her son are really very sweet. Cassie is all the things people love about Frenchies. Silly, snarfully, wiggly, happy... and she is affectionate and lovable - her son is bigger and rowdier, puppyish - both sweethearts though! Frenchie's cost more to spay/neuter and need a home familiar with the requirements of the breed, they can overheat easily for instance. Please do your homework before adopting a Frenchy!

What a group!!! And what a funny boy this is!! And what's really incredible is how sweet and social they are! These Poodles and mom and son Frenchies come from a home in Bakersfield with over 80 animals, Animal Control confiscated them all and asked for Milo's help! And HELP we did! 23 Ducklings and a couple adult birds and 14 poodles etc. The Shelter volunteers did pretty great clipping the mats off the Poodles which everyone is grateful for! They're happy, and love being out in the yard playing.z they had been kept in cages covered with threadbare blue tarps... the poultry birds had it much better! We are looking to place these dogs in pairs or with another friendly dog, they are very dog friendly, with big and small dogs! This boy is mouthy and very playful, he's bigger than his mom... happy and silly, probably better with sturdy kids over 8 years. It costs us more for spay/neuter on Frenchies and the breed comes with a handful of breed specific traits including overheating! Please do your homework before considering a Frenchie!!
