Story
Minnie is a SPECIAL NEEDS case. Until she trusts you, which doesn’t take long, she has significant behavioral problems (snarling, growling, snapping, barking, she will fear bite and she can sometimes be resource protective). She came from a situation of EXTREME neglect; she was kept outside 24/7 and starved. Therefore, she's VERY fearful of people at first, but once she trusts you, she's the sweetest, most loving dog, but, because she's SO fearful, she needs an EXPERIENCED adopter who will GO SLOW and allow her to build trust. She is usually at our adoption events on Saturdays. She gets along with other dogs although she doesn’t really play with them. She will do best as an only dog. She doesn’t seem to mind cats. She bonds STRONGLY to one person, so she will do best in a one person home. With the person she trusts, she’s EXTREMELY affectionate. She loves to be picked up and held and she loves to give kisses and get belly rubs and go on walks. Because of her issues, she will NOT be adopted into a home with children under 18 - if you're interested in her, please email poochsavers@gmail.com with your experience with abused/fearful/neglected dogs.

Story
Meet Nugget, an eight-pound dynamo of pure joy! While his original owner named him Nugget, “Prancer” or “Dancer” might be more fitting—this little guy has a signature move, twirling on his back legs whenever he’s excited. With his scruffy charm and playful energy, he’s likely a border terrier mix, around four years old, and as healthy as can be. After a short adjustment period in his foster home, Nugget settled right in. He now eats like a champ twice a day and has mastered the art of making eye contact that melts hearts. He adores attention but isn’t pushy about it—just a polite little guy who loves belly rubs and gentle snuggles. His favorite pastime? Curling up in a warm lap for TV time, where he transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug. At night, he burrows into his crate with his blanket and snoozes soundly until morning. When nature calls, he has a simple (and hilarious) way of letting his humans know—he stares at them. Intently. He’s still working on his leash-walking skills, but he’s eager to learn. Nugget also gets along well with the resident dog in his foster home, proving he’s got great social skills. With his bouncy spirit, loving nature, and irresistible quirks, Nugget is ready to dance his way into the heart of his forever family! We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at [email protected] requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Story
Princeton is the perfect dog for a family with children or an adult who needs a spunky companion. Though Princeton is a senior dog he is still very active and loves lots of attention. He loves to be talked to and to run and play around in the yard. He’s house trained and doesn’t destroy things. He sometimes gets nervous but his thunder shirt does the job. He is the perfect pet and I hate to have to rehome him after so long however he will be great for someone looking for a dog who is already trained and house broken. He is spoiled and loves to sleep on the couch or bed. Oh and he loves good n fun treats! Princeton is perfect and needs someone who will love him unconditionally as he ages.
