Story
PLEASE READ JIMBO’S BIO IN DETAIL TO ENSURE THAT HE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE BEORE APPLYING. PEASE NOTE: HE IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE MONTREAL AREA We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Jimbo Age: 4 years Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Male Weight: 20 lbs Location: MONTREAL, QC Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes, dogs, cats, children 6+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: Requires eye drops 2 x a day Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) Jimbo was found in a dilapitated trailer in the Ottawa area. Living there were 6 dogs alone. Jimbo and another dog had severe cherry eye and we provided the proper surgery and vetting so their pain could be relieved. Jimbo is the sweetest most gentle 20lb terrier mix that loves everyone he meets, people, dogs, cats, he doesn’t discriminate. This gentle little “floof” with the eternally messy, but very soft hair-do, contrary to its appearance in pictures, loves to snuggle and sleep on his back and has a penchant for snoring. He is always down for a game of tug-o-war and loves dog to dog attention. He loves to run and play and loves life as a whole. Jimbo enjoys spending time outside in the sun, fresh air and snow, as well as going for walkies. He walks well on a leash but can use a little refinement. He has zero prey drive and he does not shed. Can you say perfect? He is an easy going well rounded dog that would do well in an quiet or active home but not loud, he can can be overwhelmed by noises. Jimbo has had surgery to fix a severe case of cherry eye and as a result will need eyes drops in both eyes (minimum 2x’s a day) everyday for the rest of his life. However he is such a good boy that he willingly lets you administer the drops so it is always quick and simple task. We will provide 6 months worth of drops for the adopter. His ideal home would be one with a fenced in yard that is secure, since he can be fearful of noises outside and may be a flight risk during these times. No apartments or condos since he does bark at the window. A companion dog would be ideal company for him because he loves to play, cuddle and share beds. Cats are no issue for him and children 6+ ideal. At night he sleeps in a crate without protest but would probably just as easily take to sleeping in a human’s bed. Jimbo is an absolute sweetheart, he does however need additional training on the basics and recall but even as is, he is just so polite and gentle, he is a true gem this little man. If you feel you would be the right fit for Jimbo, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!
