Story
This is the face of a true lover boy! Scruffy, an approximately 3-year-old, 30 lb crate and house-trained Border Terrier mix (best guess!) is ALL that! He's a super friendly and happy little dude who greets everyone like they're his best friend, is great with kids, loves taking walks, rides nicely in the car, loves all other dogs, and is even cool with the kitties.  If you're looking for a medium-sized buddy to bring along on all family adventures, Scruffy fits the bill! He has scaled a chain link fence in the past, so a PVC fence or apartment living is best. Scruffy is microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered. His adoption fee is $600. ##2187500##

Story
PUPDATE: I just moved to Connecticut so you can stop by and meet me! Just be prepared to fall in love and take me home! Hi there, My name is Kiki and I am a cute little female Border Terrier mix puppy, about 4 months old and I weigh 6.8 lbs. I was the lone survivor of a litter of puppies killed by a big mean dog living in my backyard in San Antonio Texas. None of us were allowed indoors, so my parents always hung out in the street in front of our house until a lady stopped and convinced our owner to surrender us to a dog rescue. That was a great day! I was just a little squirt, looked almost exactly like my dad, with “lowrider” legs (see his picture), and was able to grow up safely and get vaccinated while having some fun in my foster home. I am a sweet girl with some sass and a happy spirit. I get along great with everyone humans, dogs, maybe a kitty cat if I ever meet one, and I love to play and snuggle and share puppy kisses. My foster mom says I am super sweet, super confident, and not to brag, but I’m also super adorable! My future looks bright, and I am so looking forward to joining a wonderful family anywhere on the East Coast! Inquire about me today and bring me home! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

**Meet Lorax: Your Loyal and Loving Companion** Meet Lorax (also known as Eleanor), a charming seven-year-old border terrier mix weighing in at a petite 12 lbs. Lorax is seeking a calm, low-traffic household where she can be the star of the show. She thrives best in an environment without children, a fenced yard and as the only pet, although she does get along well with cats. Lorax has made impressive strides in her behavior thanks to a dedicated board and train program. She still needs some work on leash manners and respecting boundaries, so an experienced owner who can continue her training is essential. To support her transition, we offer free training to her adopter, ensuring Lorax continues to progress and feel secure in her new home. If you're ready to welcome a sweet, smart, and special dog into your life, Lorax is eagerly waiting to meet you.

Story
Meet Katy Perry! Katy is a super chill 7 year-old, 17 pound Chihuahua mix. If you're looking for a relaxed companion to "Netflix and chill," Katy might just be your girl! She's a total homebody who is content to relax in bed with her family. She's not the clingy type, she's happy for you to come and go as you please, and she'll welcome you back with butt wiggles and an invitation for some light scratches! However, she can get nervous and might let you know if you get too familiar too fast, and she probably wouldn't like a home with young children who might get in her space. Katy doesn't like going on walks, especially on city sidewalks, and would rather just explore your apartment. In her foster home (apartment in the city), she's currently using wee-wee pads. We think she'd probably be most comfy on a quiet patch of grass in the backyard, but her foster family hasn't been in a position to test that. Katy has quite an appetite - she loves her kibble, liver treats, and most of all cheese. She's a clever girl and figured out a snuffle mat on her first try! If you're looking for a chill, small dog for a little gentle cuddling, Katy might just be your perfect match! Katy is currently being fostered in Manhattan, NY, and her adoption fee is $500. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
