Parson is a 7-month-old, 14-pound scruffy Border Terrier mix with a whole lot of energy and an eagerness to please! His tail wags his whole body, and he’s always ready to play. While he’s not a cuddly lap dog (at least not yet), he’s affectionate in his own way and loves being around his people and dog friends.Parson is already learning some basics—he knows how to sit and is making great progress with crate training. He sleeps through the night in his crate with his goldendoodle foster sibling and can stay calmly in his crate alone for shorter periods. He’s also doing fantastic with potty training, going to the door or crying when he needs to go out—no accidents in the house!Parson gets along well with other dogs and especially loves his goldendoodle foster sibling, so he might do best in a home with a larger, laid-back dog to help show him the ropes. He’s still in the early stages of leash training but is learning.If you’re looking for a playful, happy pup who’s ready to learn and grow, Parson might just be your perfect match!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. Are you looking for the sweetest companion? Look no further, Fletcher is your guy! Fletcher is the sweetest boy, and he LOVES people (although he may be nervous around some men at first). He will happily jump in a stranger's lap for pets and cuddles. Everyone he’s met falls in love with Fletcher. He loves being the center of attention and wants to be right by his people. Did we mention he loves people!! Fletcher is a little guy with a big, big heart! He loves to play and chewing on bones. Besides cuddling on the couch under a blanket, Fletcher enjoys lounging in the sun, hanging out outside, and going on outings (walks, errands, etc.). Because of going through heart worm treatment, Fletcher has only met one dog, and did just fine, but wasn’t entirely comfortable. With the right match and time to adjust he may warm up to living with a dog brother or sister, but would be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as a solo dog. Fletcher enjoys his crate as his “place” and will hang out in his room! Fletcher is house trained and walks well on a leash. This little guy is social, friendly, smart, playful, curious and loving- the whole package! Come meet Fletcher as soon as you can!! She’s come a long way since being rescued from a hoarding situation, and now she’s ready to be spoiled and cherished in a forever home. Margot thrives on affection and loves being with her human, making her the perfect cuddle companion. While she’s still working on her potty training and occasionally has accidents, she’s making great progress and just needs a family willing to be patient and continue helping her learn. Margot gets especially excited when you give her treats, showing just how eager she is to please. With a moderate energy level, Margot would fit well in both a more energetic household or a quieter one. She loves to play but also enjoys her cuddle time, making her a great balance of fun and relaxation. As a former neglected pup, she’s still adjusting to being spoiled, so she will need a family who’s committed to keeping up with her grooming needs and supporting her potty training journey. Margot is a sweet, loving girl who deserves a home where she can be pampered and loved the way she’s always dreamed of. And he’s so obsessed that it’s best to have two balls on hand—he’ll bring you one if you’re holding another, and he’s always ready to keep the game going. With his boundless energy and silly personality, he’s a joy to play with and will keep you laughing! Still young, he’s got plenty of spunk and needs a patient owner who can help him burn off that energy. He’s a quick learner but will thrive with consistent training and guidance. His adorable underbite only adds to his charm! This playful pup would do best in a home with an active person or another dog who enjoys playtime as much as he does. He might not be the best fit for an older, less active dog or a sedentary person, as he’s always on the move and ready for the next adventure.
