Story
Meet Sydney! Age: 3 years oldBreed: Small Wirehaired Terrier Mix - possibly Border Terrier or Norwich Terrier mix.Weight: 19lbs Sydney is a small scruffy terrier mix who was found as a stray along with her sister in Detroit. Shortly after, it was discovered that she was pregnant with a litter of puppies that have been since weaned and Sydney is now ready for her own furever home.  Sydney is sweet and loves attention but only once she gets to know you. She is very hesitant and untrusting with new faces, but with a little patience and time, she'll warm up and show her true playful self. She gets along well with other dogs and has no issues with cats, making her a great addition to a multi-pet household. Sydney would be best in a home with older children or in a quieter adult-only home. She will require time and understanding when it comes to bonding, so we are looking for a patient family that will allow her to adjust at her own pace. Sydney is comfortable in her crate, providing a safe space for her when needed. She also has a great understanding of house manners. She walks well on a leash, but enjoys the freedom of a fenced yard. She won't do well on a tether system. Sydney will alert her family of sounds she is unfamiliar with, which means she can be vocal at times, so we do not believe that she would do well in an apartment. If you're looking for a sweet pup to become part of your family and help her gain confidence, Sydney may be the perfect match for you!  Sydney is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedShe is scheduled to be spayed at one of our partner Veterinary offices when she dries up from having puppies (early February).ADOPTION FEE: $350 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI.
